  Soportable para una noche o dos

  Nos quedamos porque era de los más baratos y mejor situados, pero tiene que haber backpackers mejores en la ciudad. Las habitaciones bastante sucias y ruidosas. Las camas pasables. Hay tanquillas en las habitaciones para usar si tienes candado. Los baños sucios y descuidados. La zona de comedor es un desastre. Típico backpacker con mucha gente joven y bastante descuidado. Aunque no es muy antiguo y las instalaciones no están mal del todo, deberían tener mejor servicio. El trato muy bueno, eso si.

  Más que un hostel una carcel

  El ambiente es tétrico, hay mala energía porque el lugar es espantoso. No se puede respirar en las habitaciones, si estiras la mano tocas a la persona que está en la cama siguiente. Es más parecido a una carcel que a un hostel. Se hospeda gente que vive en la calle, a la vuelta o en el mismo callejón donde está la entrada se droga gente y quedan desmalladas ahí.

  Central Location + Great People

  A convenient and central location. The staff is amazing! Especially Moli, one of the managers. Cant say much about the look of it since in my time staying there the hostel was going through renovations.

  Not worth the money. The village Melbourne formerly known as the discovery.

  Very friendly staff. Quite disorganised and very dirty kitchens. The en suite bathroom was not cleaned when we checked in. Rather unpleasant to start the stay with a dirty loo. I can agree that in a shared dorm it is not that easy to keep up with the cleaning but we had booked a private room for two. Checkout is at 10 am and we arrived rather late in the afternoon. I was to tired to go back down, stay in the loooong line and then talk to the only guy working. So I did the cleaning myself. The rest of our stay we would have two or three visits by different staff daily. To clean (aka walk in to the bathroom with blue plastic gloves on and then turn around and leave. I do not know to what purpose but they all did it), to put up notice board in the bathroom and to just check on the others. I accept the need for housekeeping but please do wait a few seconds after you nock to enter, don't knock and barge in. The maintenence can be done between gustes check out and in. If you want to sleep between 23 pm - 08am don't bother checking into this hostel. There is no soundproofing what so ever. The cutlery is plastic, the hygiene in the kitchens is non existing. The fridges are filled with smelly, sticky liquids. Birds flew in and out. No attempt at trying to recycle anything. All garbage is chucked in the same bin. If it is chucked.... The beds are comfy and the ac works really good. But since you can't sleep that doesn't do you any good. The elevator is still not fixed after the big renovation. The one that works broke down during our stay. Yay. My advice is to hire a manager who knows the biz. The staff is willing but are not able. They need good organised leadership. This place is a joke and not a very funny one. It has potential to be great but is such a letdown. The owner/s is/are not interested in anything else except to collect money. I have stayed in many, many places during my life but this is by far the worst one (and that is a lot considering I did travel in the former SSSR just after the perestroika...)

  Theyve stepped up their game

  First time I stayed here was one year ago and then the rooms and kitchen were just disgusting but this time by coincidence we booked the same place but with a new Name and renovation. Way better, still very small rooms and poor bathrooms. Staff is still great tho and helpful. The bar is quite fun on karaoke nights. A good spot in the middle of cbd.
