  Perfect place; excellent value for money

  We usually stay at Stanglwirt in Tirol, and love it, so when my uncle booked our family reunion at Die Wasnerin, I was skeptical that it would live up to my expectations. But I suspect that someone in the management staff of Die Wasnerin has stayed at Stanglwirt too, as many of their best services and amenities are also available at Die Wasnerin, despite its much lower price per night - and in a much more intimate setting. We loved the daily newsletter with activities available each day, the amazing buffets for breakfast and lunch, the beautiful rooms, breathtaking views of the mountains, attentive staff and excellent meals. Just a perfect place. Well done, Die Wasnerin!

  Excellent modern resort

  In spite of its folksy name, this is high class 21st century resort for anybody who can afford it, from children to seniors. Our party had people from literally 3 to 100 years old! The service was perfect, including the reception, the restaurant staff, and the chambermaids. When we mentioned upon departure that we needed a taxi to take us to the nearby train station, they immediately volunteered to drive us, for free. The views are breathtaking, Alps and lakes straight out of the Sound of Music. The food is very elegant, to the point where by the third day, many adults were overkilled and ordered from the kids menu. I would like to compare Wasnerin to another amazing resort in Austria, namely Rogner in Bad Blumau: Wasnerin is better for: beautiful scenic surroundings, gourmet food and wonderful service. Rogner has the more amazing building, more and better pools, and more choices for dining. All in all a toss up, it depends what is most important to you.

  breathtaking

  The minute we arrive Anna welcomed us with a huge smile on her face as well as Katerina and Mario while checking out. We stayed for 3 nights as a group of 7 people. The hotel is surronded by mountains and nicely furnished. Rooms are spacious and very cozy with mountain views which we loved. The staff speaks fluent English, all very professional and helpful. We booked as half board, breakfast buffet was amazing as well as dinner. Dinner was 4 course with various choices, Michael and Martin always there to help with a genuine smile. Also Special thanks to Marco for his amazing cocktails. I cant wait to taste the pine mojito.

  Lovely Spa Resort but nasty hotel director

  Beautiful, very well equipped and maintained hotel and spa, surrounded by breath-taking alpine scenery. The food is excellent (top quality ingredients only) and the selection of wines as well. With the exception of Mrs. Barta, the hotel director, all employees are charming, polite and helpful - they do their very best to make you feel at home. Unfortunately, this does apply to Mrs. Barta, who has the charm of a governess. Unless you happen to be one of the local VIPs, she treats you like a boarding-school attendee (at best), but certainly not like an esteemed guest.

  Best chill-out

  We came across Die Wasnerin accidentally, searching for some nice place to stay for couple of days after business trip in Vienna 4 years ago. We've been there 4 more times since then. It is a great place to relax and recover. Rooms with a stunning view, changing colors from early morning till dawn. Open hot tube in spa area with stars above you. Delicious dinners with something new every day. Those are just highlights. And really beautiful hiking trails all around. Great place to restore your inner energy!
