  Good location within 10 minutes walk of centre. Comfortable with friendly staff.

  The hotel has secure parking at the rear. The rooms are nicely appointed but there is no lift. They serve a great included breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful. Free wi-fi is available and works well. The hotel has no restaurant but there is a Greek restaurant nearby.

  Scruffy Dirty Room

  Good location very close to old town, friendly helpful English speaking staff. Handy free parking at rear, free WiFi, safe in room. Breakfast reasonable. BUT, and it's a big but, the room that we had was generally scruffy, dirty and needed significant renovation. The shower had an excess of black mould, basin badly cracked, bedroom carpet worn and dirty, very dusty in wardrobe and e.g. under the desk. They either need to get new cleaners, or give them more time to clean the rooms thoroughly.

  Good hotel, great location

  The hotel is located at a small, quiet street that's easily accessible once you know where it is. You can get in and out of the city with your car in a matter of minutes, which seems to be a luxury in Goslar. Still you can walk to the old town center in less than five minutes. Our room was big, well-equipped and nicely cleaned. The only downside was that the door was right next to the stairwell, which meant that other guests were easily heard coming and going. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, especially in room 10. The breakfast buffet gets boring fast, but other than that, and the occasional noise from other guests arriving at odd hours, it's a good place to stay. The service is very nice, too.

  Good locaton

  Goslar is a picturesque, mideaval town and Die Tanne is very nicely located to explore it. Clearly marked parking which was easily accessible before checking in (EUR 7 per night when we were there). Efficient check-in, good sized room, clean, comfortable beds, very small but adequate bathroom. Wifi included but rather shaky. Very nice breakfast buffet. Centrally located, just 10 minutes or so walk to center of old town. If you are sensitive to noise and want to sleep with windows open (no A/C) ask for a room facing away from the street. No lift in the building.

  Pricey and very small rooms.

  The Tanne has no lift. It is difficult to bring things up to your room. Rooms are very small. The owner was a little pompis. Would NOT stay there again. The bar was stark and ugly. The only good thing was the breakfast.
