  Feels like home

  We stopped in for one night stay could have stayed longer - the 2 bedroom apartment was great felt like home have ensuite and main bathroom, 2 bedrooms, air conditioning, balcony, everything you needed in the kitchen pots, pan, cutlery, plates and bowls, baking dishes. rice machines, ect. Beds were comfortable and showers where great water was hot and pressure was excellent. The pool has a spa also clean and tidy pool area with BBQ'S. Underground parking for the unit we stayed in. Close to the beach, shops. Also free wifi

  Very disappointing

  Very much in need of an overhaul. Shabby and VERY expensive, probably due to the Commonwealth games. I would rate this place a 3 star at most but had to pay 5 star price even though we booked 12 months in advance. We paid $450 per night for one bedroom and one bathroom - never again! Layout of unit was weird and there were mirrors everywhere (what were they covering up?) Not enough toilet paper provided, no tissues (were we supposed to buy our own?). Vertical blinds were all over the place and kitchen very small (bin was in the middle of the kitchen). TV in bedroom could not be watched as it faced the bathroom.

  "Don't waste your hard earn't money. Terrible"

  Absolutely dirty in apartment; bathrooms, kitchen, utensils and so on were disgusting, When you save for holidays and walk into a very dated apartment which is dusty and dirty it is gut wrenching and beyond disappointing, How this resort can justify the cost per night is appalling to me and several friends who visited could not believe the state of the apartment either. Do not go by the photos that this Resort posts, and how they call themselves a Resort is abhorrent. There is 1 pool, the only nice part of Diamond Cove and a spa with a BBQ area within. After hours the gates are locked but the only access is by key. There is a number pad by the pedestrian gate but you are not given a code. Also there isn't an intercom at the gates. For a "Resort" it's ridiculous. (The majority of Resorts are equipped with intercoms and guests staying given code access.) When you have someone come to visit ensure they have a mobile on them otherwise they cannot contact you to let them in the Resort - SMH The mature lady in reception was unfriendly to put it mildly. She over talks you and is actually quite rude in her manner. Customer service is paramount and she certainly needs some education on that. No interest in going the extra mile for the paying guest such as welcoming, informative or even a smile. Maybe she needs a career change? The reception though was closed during the day for long periods. Please, please do not stay here - it will be as if you have thrown your money down the toilet and that is not an exaggeration. It really is beyond BAD and there will be no warm fuzzies from the "ICE CUBE" lady in reception.

  Exceptional

  Unlike other reviewers on this site, our stay at Diamond Cove was fantastic. The 3 bedroom unit easily accommodated our family of 2 adults & 4 kids - we even had my elderly parents stay a couple of nights with us. We found the unit spacious enough. The only drawbacks were ceiling fans that were either on full bore or barely moving, only one air con in the unit and inadequate clothes shelving in kids rooms (plenty of hang space though). The whole family LOVED the resort pool area. Huge pool, perfect temp, spa, waterfalls. BBQ and tables poolside were great for entertaining and evening meals. Brad the Manager was friendly and prompt to respond to any queries or issues we experienced. The price was excellent too. A 10min walk and you were on the sand at lifesaver patrolled Mermaid Beach. 15min walk along the highway you were at Pacific Fair. Mermaid Beach Tavern, Sizzler and other restaurants 2min walk away. We loved our stay and would recommend Diamond Cove without hesitation.

  Terrible experience

  We stayed here on recommendation from family who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience. The apartment was booked 5 months ahead of our stay for 2 adults and 2 children, when we arrived we found two double beds instead of a double and twin beds, there was a trundle provided. The apartment was dated and had no aircon in the living areas. When we spoke to Brad the manager, he stated that the apartment we were meant to be staying in had been sold in November so we were "lucky" to be able to get accommodation there - it would have been nice to have been contacted prior to this! We also had a serious issue with another guest taking photos of our children in the pool, Brad stated this had nothing to do with him, which I disagree beacause as a mananger he should be investigating the safety of his guests. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, there are much nicer places for less money.
