  Muy acogedora

  La casa es prácticamente idéntica por fuera a todas las demás de la calle. La parada de autobús (para el centro, estación de tren) está a unos 50 metros. Casa muy acogedora. Me tocó una habitación twin en la planta de arriba y era tal cual sale en las fotos. Baño grande y reformado (con ducha enorme). TV plana, hervidor para hacer te y/o café y galletas. La wifi funcionaba bien La cama muy cómoda y las sábanas como en un 5 estrellas. Desayuno bastante completo para ser continental y, además incluido en el precio

  Great B&B

  Good location just 10-15 minute walk to city centre. Quirky large old house converted to En-suite bedrooms. Very good breakfast and friendly service. Manager is not on site, when you arrive, you ring a bell and he comes within 5 minutes to let you in. Parking can be a bit tricky on Cathedral road.

  Good place, fair price

  As business user who normally stays in big branded hotels, I was uncertain what to expect with Dexby, cheaper than big brand hotels, but fair value for money, shower and breakfast very good, bed and room fair as a B&B. Staff excellent.

  It could have been good but fell down on details and so was not something I would recommend

  Dexby Town House, Cardiff Room 7 King size double £132 per night incl. Breakfast. The room faces the road and has traffic noise as you would expect. Breakfast is buffet style. Tea, coffee, juice, cereals, croissant, cold meat and cheese, toast, jam, marmalade, yoghurt, fruit, hard-boiled eggs. There is no cooked breakfast. Plus points of the room I had:- Handy location for the city Large room with en-suite bathroom Clean Negative points of the room I had:- Heating - switched on and off remotely. Little control from the guest. Very hot when we arrived and the windows were open. Turning radiator valves down had little or no effect. TV - no BBC channels The bedroom ceiling light was multi-bulbed but only a few worked. Many were missing and others did not work. The bathroom light - was a five pendant light where only three bulbs worked. There was no sink plug in the hand basin and the hole had no guard meaning any small items dropped would disappear totally. Some of the shower fittings were missing some parts. The shower height adjuster slipped and twisted down the rail, making it difficult to control the direction of the water. The shower water flow was very weak. The Venetian blind in the bathroom does not work and is stuck half-closed. The toilet seat moved when sat upon and was therefore dangerous. The random selection of coat hangers was weak and feeble not suitable for usual use. A leak developed and came down through the dining room ceiling. The thermostatic radiator valve from the dining room radiator was completely off and placed next to the radiator. When using the contact phone number I found the person answering the help telephone number did not engender a good or welcoming feeling. I found Angela, who was on duty in the dining room was friendly, helpful and informative. Not only did she pay attention to the table service but was also willing and able to suggest places to visit in Cardiff. She is an asset to the company.

  Enjoyable stay.

  We stayed in March before lock down for a weekend. We got room Nr. 4 overlooking back of the property. We left very happy with our stay. We had a good size room, quiet and stylish. We catch really cold and rainy weather, so when we got to the property after day, we found very warm room. It was really pleasant that owner did not try to save at heating. The heating was controlled remotely by Dexby house staff. No air conditioner which we really liked. Wi-fi was poor but one of us had a data therefore we didnt have any problems with it. Tasty continental breakfast was provided in the morning. Service was friendly and homey. We would definitely recommend this place to stay in Cardiff for budget traveler.
