  Hay de mejores

  No es que sea una zona con grandes hoteles, y este por fuera está muy bien, la entrada es bonita y lo mejor que tiene es la zona de la piscina con vistas al mar, que no playa, no hay playa para quien la busque. Nosotros lo sabíamos y para el tiempo que hemos estado no nos ha importado pero si vas buscando playa, Candidasa no es tu sitio. La habitación que nos tocó olía entre humedad y mal. La cama con bichitos pequeños ...el desayuno justito.

  Great position...tired rooms

  Nice position right in the middle of Candidasa.. an easy walk to restaurants and shops. We had a great room overlooking the pool and beach.. however it was very tired, dated and basic. The stairs and around the pool area could all do with good scrub... but the leaves falling off the trees were constantly swept up, and the gardens were well maintained and beautiful. The pool was clean and clear. The male staff were all lovely, friendly and hard working... but the females were grumpy, uninterested and looked as though they were not enjoying their jobs - especially the lady that serves the very average breakfast. The food here is not a highlight. For the price it is worth staying here, at least in the beachfront rooms. A bit of a paint job and a tidy up and this could be the best place in Candidasa.

  Not as scary as other peoples reviews

  The rooms are very sad looking but if you book the deluxe sea-view rooms it makes it worthwhile. The amazing views makes up for the tired rooms. Pool and gardens are nice. Staff lovely. Road is very busy. Pay extra for the better room otherwise you could be a bit disappointed.

  Avoid!

  I have stayed at Dewa Bharata Bungalows, Candidasa, many times over the last 25 years, but after this last visit I wont be returning. Yes, the property is old, and doesnt cost very much. However, now its also run down. The rooms were very dirty. There were cobwebs on the light fixtures, and mold all over the bathroom shower curtain. The screen in the bathroom was full of holes and rusty. There was no daily housekeeping. There was rarely anyone at the reception desk. There was an electrical cord strung across the walkway to the rooms. It was a little above the top of my head but would have been a real danger to anyone taller than me, especially at night, when the lighting is poor in general. The trim on the stairs was loose, and a trip hazard. With all the hotels in Bali with warm, friendly people and well-maintained facilities, there is simply no reason to choose Dewa Bharata Bungalows. On a final note, there is currently construction at the hotel, and until it is finished it is very noisy during the day.

  This hotel has MAJOR construction happening

  The low price isnt enough to stay here, dont do it. They are constructing a whole new building about 2/3 meters from your room. We got stuck here for 3 days over Xmas as we had booked here and when we found out on arrival everywhere else in our price range was fully booked. Their aircon do not work either. AT ALL. So dont pay any extra than a fan room. That would have been better. Only even closer to the bang bang bANG of construction, all day long.
