An Enjoyable Short Holiday in Beautiful TravemundeStayed at this hotel three nights early July 2015 with my son and son in law. It was a lads weekend and we had a great time in Travemunde consuming German beer and Korn and of course German food. The hotel manager was very friendly and spoke excellent English. He assured us that German beer was the best and he reminded us that the German football team were the current World champions. Oh yes, he was provoked by English women beating German women to win third place in their World Cup! We could not fault this hotel and we'll return next year. Travemunde is a beautiful seaside resort mainly for Germans. I think it is their secret holiday venue and it is a difficult place to travel to if you are British. There are several old interesting buildings and the resort is spotlessly clean. The Germans are so well mannered and polite. Cannot wait to return next year.

AverageHotel itself was fine, room had no air conditioned and wifi even when it was clearly stated in reservation we made. The bad thing is that the parking is very far away you have to walk about 10-15 minutes with your lagguage after check out not very practical.

Solid, u get what u pay forBeing at the center of Travemuende and right at the waterfront this hotel is certainly a good choice in terms of location. The hotel seems to have expanded over time: the way the breakfast room is extended with a walkway over the arcade and some rooms in another wing reachable only via stairs seem a bit weird but also interesting. Unfortunately the style is old but not really in a charming way. Everything is clean, service friendly but the room i occupied was spartan and not at all cozy. Shower still with two faucets where I needed to mix hot and cold water myself (takes time), no heater in bathroom. So, all still okay for the price but definitely not more or fancy. Breakfast, too, is good. I expected more but than again for the price it is okay. The soundproofing wasnt good though.

Prime location - but too many things done wrongLocated on the best spot on the beach promenade - but inside just a long row of disappointments. The general attitude on the front desk was far from friendly. On several occasions whn we needed help/answers to our questions, the desk was empty, and several customers wandering what to do. Doorbell did not really help. Unbelievable in a hotel with a badge of three stars. Breakfast was served in "wintergarden", ehich was far too small to handle the amount of all guests. Miniature-size tables (75x75 cm) for two and with hardly 40 cm between tables. Waiters didn't collect used plates before you were completly finished - so the table was stack with dirty plates and bread baskets an so on. Also logistics of the buffet table was awkword, yoghurt on the other table and plates and cereals on the other - and a crowd of hungry guests trying to find their breakfast ingredients. 9/day parking in the back of the hotel, cheaper 3,50 parking on the side of downtown 300 meters away. Not worth the fairly expensive price.

LocationNicely located Hotel in the middle of town. Friendly staff ready to help. Slow internet that only really worked in the public areas. The public areas where not heated. So really not that nice in December!
