  Could be so much better

  This vintage motel needs so much work I don't even know where to begin. It looks like the owner wants to make improvements with new resin chairs outside each unit, new screen doors and televisions. The wifi worked well and the front desk girl was really friendly. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good for this run down motel. - mattress was too springy with no support - pool was a gross murky green color...didn't dare go in - carpet is absolutely disgusting and is in dire need of being replaced - the kitchen cupboards, sink, appliances, etc. are so dated and haven't been cleaned or painted....ever - the room was clean enough but just barely...leftover food in the fridge from previous guests - the grounds were in need of some major TLC as things are overgrown and messy We will never stay here again unless someone completely renovates this property to make it a retro gem of yesteryear.

  So much more than we expected

  We loved this place. Our room had a full kitchen, stocked with pots, dishes, glasses, and flatware. Desert Grove is not a new facility, but it was clean and fresh. Out on the 4th Street Extension, it was near many fast food places and liquor stores. I really liked that we could pull right up to our door to park and unload/load. Our room had a nice patio on the backside and even a chair and table by the front door. The room was spacious and even included a ceiling fan to keep us cool (arrival temperature was 105 degrees F.

  OUCH

  Too much going on there to even describe. Wow! Probably the best idea is to never go there. Pool being resurfaced not available. The place attracts strange people. Really strange. Marital problems couples living in room with several dogs, little ones that do lots of yapping. Give me a nice quiet comfortable motel and I will happily pay more. This place is skid row.

  very satisfied

  This is an older motel but clean and spacious rooms. We had a king bed (which was comfortable) that we could actually walk around, there is a full kitchen so if you wanted to stay several days or weeks you could. We will stay again. The only complaint was the AC unit was had to adjust but with a little help it works just fine.

  Beware

  Found room traveling to Yuma. Short overnight thought it would be ok from ad. Completely misleading. When my husband and I arrive we looked at each other and said we are not staying.here. Had booked it only an hour before. Would not let us cancel, their policy. Completely creepy feeling when we arrived, weird people hanging out. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. We dont need fancy, but do want somewhat attractive motel in safe and. Comfortable surroundings. Really misleading from ad . Did not even Check into room , really just wanted to leave.
