  Clean and centrally located

  I've stayed there last week because we went to the Rock Altitude Festival which is nearby. The way back home being too long, we opted to stay in Le Locle. The hotel is nicely situated in the town center, and it is easy to park your car. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that someone vomited right left to the hotel main door. Charming.... It might have just happened, but when we checked the next day, the "spot" was still there. The receptionist was not especially friendly or welcoming but at least the check-in procedure was quickly settled. We had a standard double room on the 4th floor. Free WIFI is provided in every room, good point. The rooms, as well as the whole hotel are quite tired and old-fashioned. Tapestry in the corridors and in the room. The shower is small and the curtain is too small, so even when taking care, you will flood the bathroom when taking a shower. There is a soap provider, but unfortunately it was empty. A soap provider is a nice idea, but when empty, it really doesn't bring anything. It must be said that the rooms are really clean, and the beds of relatively good quality even if they are quite short and narrow. When we went back at the reception before going out, I tried to ask the receptionist for the festival location and didn't receive much of an answer (I speak french and the receptionist too). Then I asked for the main train station and was given a vague direction with a nice grunt... Anyway. So this hotel is not a bad stay, it is probably the only hotel in town anyway, but don't expect anything special

  Nice basic hotel

  If you're looking for a basic hotel and are not afraid of an outdated interior this is the place you want to go. Yes it looks outdated but everything is well maintained I must say. The room is fine and the beds take up a large amount of the space in the room, which is good if you ask me. On the toilet there was a message saying it was properly cleaned and disinfected. The shower was somewhat confusing. The soap dispenser is actually not in use any more, something you find out a bit late. Soap and shower gel is next to the sink in package that you have to tear open, which doesn't go well all wet. Free wi-fi worked perfect. Breakfast was ok with a basic buffet. Service depends on the person behind the desk. Could use some extra power outlets in the room.

  Basic hotel, but fare prices

  We wanted to take morning boat trip to the Saut du Doubs - very nice waterfalls, therefore decided to stay in Hotel des Trois Rois in Locle. The hotel is quite old, very basic located just in front of local casino. The room is ok, the bathroom is ok, nothing special to describe, but evething is clean. The major issue was the bed... the matras was terrible, which cause me to wake up few times during the night. As last minute deal, we reseived special price, which included basic breakfeast

  Central location but in need of a makeover

  Hotel is central but has no car park. You have to park at the post office some 3 minutes walk away. There is still parking restrictions there so read the signs. Hotel room was brown, furniture brown, toilet brown Very 70s. The lighting in the hallway did not always come on meaning walking in pitch black and trying to find your door and unlock it. The restaurant only serves a cold buffet breakfast. This was reasonable but the table and seating are too close and tight. The only real plus side to my stay was the shower was good and it was central so I could go out and get food in the evening
