  Lovely little hotel near Mount Blanc

  I had a pleasant surprise discovering this hotel, while transiting through Sallanches after a ski holiday. Usually, French hotels of that price range are very crappy, and old fashioned, especially in remote small towns like this. BUT not this one! First, the staff was courteous and competent: we were offered a more competitive rate than on our usual booking site. Second, check in was smooth and fast. The room itself (we booked the cheapest room category) was neither big nor suffocatingly small: just about the right size for the price. Everything was clean, the bathroom was kind of spacious, and we even had a mini-bar. But the greatest part was to discover we had a small balcony with views of the lovely mountains, equipped with a small dining table and 2 chairs! Such a nice added value for the price! (80 EUR). Sleep quality was good, and there was free WIFI in room. Breakfast was simple (buffet style) but satisfactory, at 10 EUR. Another great point, although I did not have time to try it, was that there was a SPA in the hotel, with a cool selection of massages / treatments. Very nice to have after a heavy ski day. There is also a restaurant in the hotel, that has nice reputation locally (I didn't try it though). The location has lots of advantages: there is a free parking for your car, and it is located very near a cinema center and a few restaurants, within walking distance. Cool for a relaxing evening. Last, I must say that the hotel did lots of efforts to provide English content almost everywhere: in-room, at the breakfast etc...(although sometimes in "broken English" that made me chuckle ;-)) being French myself, I can testify this is quite unusual in such remote small towns of France! I really appreciate the fact that this hotel really tries to cater to the needs of more international customers. Definitely a nice stay. A few tips: - It is a great location to go skiing, while saving on budget: Megeve (the poshest French ski station!) is only 10 km distant, while Chamonix is less than 30 Km (fantastic to go to the famous "Aiguille du midi" and enjoy gorgeous views of the Mount Blanc). It's definitely impossible to stay in Megeve or Chamonix for that price. - Great hotel as well for people with limited mobility: an elevator is there (not always the case in small French hotels!!)

  Beautiful

  What a lovely little hotel, tucked away in a quiet part of town, but within easy walking distance Very very helpful staff. Room had everything I needed including an extra blanket. Great view from room.

  Lovely homely friendly little hotel.

  Very surprised at the high quality of the breakfast and the standard of service.Were given a choice of room, very nice simple ski lodge style decor and free parking and spring water in the room. Would turn as it must be soooo cute in the snow!

  Excellent stay at the hotel Pres du Rosay

  Wonderful, clean, charming hotel in Sallanches. Very well -run establishment, that is comfortable and friendly. The staff speaks English as well as French and are very accommodating. We loved the location which allowed us to walk into the beautiful village of Sallanches. We will definitely stay here again.

  Good restaurant with Mont Blanc view

  Travelling in Sallanches for business. Had a nice meal on the terrace with a beautiful view on the highest mountains of the Alps! They offer a nice deal if you combine dinner with room and breakfast. Cheers!
