A cosy and cute hotelA small more of a b@b type hotel located in the old part of le Havre. There were no parking spaces left so we had to leave our car by the beach. Our room was on the top floor (third)and with no elevator it was a bit of an effort to drag the suitcases up. But the room itself was pretty as a flower with the old style furniture and cute beddings. The bathroom facitilies were modern. But beware not to use the shower if someone is flushing the toilet at the same time. I burned my back as the water suddenly turned burning hot. Only nice things to say about the staff: friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my one night stay.

Mrs JamUkWe stayed several times at this cosy hotel, however I need to point that all the rooms we stayed in were dusty and not refreshed prior to guest arrival. A small warning concerning the cleanness otherwise the owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. Location close to seafront and secure for single women and families.

Tired but still offering much potentialStayed over for a night without breakfast. Appears to be a lovely old 'maison de maitre' converted into a two-star hotel. The street-facing twin room, whilst clean with comfortable beds unfortunately smelt very musty so we were glad not to be staying for two nights. Surely the owner could do something to rectify this? Similarly, outside there was a set of outdoor hardwood furniture to which a quick lick of paint would not have done any harm and, together with some potted plants or flowers say, might have done much to brighten the place up. A sad, unloved and tired old place which with minimum expense and just a little attention to some detail, could so easily be transformed into a 'hotel de charme' . Note, this economy hotel is pleasantly situated just inside St. Adresse in "Nice havrais", one of the more attractive parts of Le Havre. Also recommend nearby well-established bar "Le Weekend", commanding superb sea views.

A sad little placeFrom the photos the main building looks like a quaint hotel, in reality it is unpleasant and badly in need of a refurb. My room had broken light bulbs, a window that only half opened and the smallest shower I have ever seen complete with cracked tiles. There was a long mirror which was held on the wall with bent nails. The mattress did not fit the bed. Certainly somewhere I would not recommend nor stay again.

Adequate: you get what you paid forAbsolutely okay hotel but some Fawlty Towers events on day one, like We arrived at about 13h at the hotel address then were directed to the check-in which is at another location 280m away (distance measured on Google Earth). We were told that the room would not be ready until 15h, which is fair enough as this time is what is mentioned on the website. We returned at 15h, were given the room keys, and then we traipsed the 280m (with luggage) to the hotel, and on entering the rooms we found that they had not yet been made up so we had do leave. Finally, at 17h20 we could get access to the cleaned rooms. When booking, we reserved via the hotel portal instead of booking.com so as not to have the hotel surrender a large booking fee. We paid the stated price with credit card. On checking in we were told that there was an extra fee for taxes, admittedly only a small amount. This is soooooo irritating, as when booking, it was not obvious that the stated price was not the actual price (maybe in some fine print?). The website states "Hotel with terrace and lounge next to the beach": the hotel is not next to the beach but about 300m away; there is no lounge, or rather the lounge is locked this should have nothing to do with coronavirus. In other respects all was fine: the rooms were adequate, clean and well maintained.
