Excellent hostel! On our 7 week jaunt through China this was one of the best places we stayed. It's great value for money, the rooms are clean, there is ample hot water and super fast wifi. On top of this they give an excellent free breakfast (almost unheard of at this budget in China). The restaurant also serves excellent food for dinner! Would absolutely recommend!!

Small but comfortable and homelyLocated just at the foot/town of Emeishan. Perfect location to sleep over if you intend to ascend Emeishan in the next early morning. The staff speaks English and they serve very delicious home cooked food. Hot water and instant noodles are also available at reasonable price. The rooms on the second level are clean, reasonable size and with private bathroom. They have some rooms on the first level in dormitory style with shared bathroom. They provide baggage keep service too, so you only pack what you need when you ascend the mountain and you can keep the rest of your belongings with them at a small fee. Highly recommended place to overnight.

Comfy hostel at excellent value1. Great price listed online and even better one when we walked in, probably because late Oct is a low season 2. Helpful staff who let us deposit baggage a day before we moved in (we stayed at golden summit the first night in Emei and came down to Dengba second night); helped top up my China Unicom phone card. They don't speak very good English but are keen to find out how to understand our needs. 3. Big, clean bd bright room with sufficient hot shower and heating 4. Genuine and quick free wifi with which we can check emails and whatsapp (while FB is still restricted unless with VPN) 5. Cosy, young atmosphere which is not found in other hotels nearby which may though be highly rated. Look forward to staying at its partner hotels in other parts of China and perhaps overseas in future.

Friendly staff with big rooms.Rooms are huge! The king beds are basically two double beds pushed together but they were fairly comfortable. Staff was very friendly, using phone translators to make up for how little English they spoke (and how little Chinese we spoke). Showers were very hot and the bathroom alone was as big as a room we had in Hong Kong. They DO NOT SERVE FOOD but there are plenty of options nearby. Big windows, but you don't see much other than the building across the street. There are TVs in every room, but they only have Chinese channels. They have a projector hooked up to a computer downstairs where they can play movies in Chinese and English. The park entrance is just down the street to the left as you exit the lane the hostel is on. There's a ticket office and bus which goes up the mountain on the left side of the road. We got stuck on the mountain and didn't make it back until around 4pm or 5pm (checkout was 12pm) not only did they not charge us, but they were sweet about it. Food nearby: We went during the off season (mid-December) and some places were closed down. We had a decent western breakfast at the Teddy Bear Hostel one day and ordered 5 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to go which ended up being 5 pieces of bread stuck all together with only jelly between them. On the plus side, they only charged us Y4 instead of Y16 per "sandwich". Ate (Chinese food) at a small place tucked behind some trees near the traffic circle (down the opposite side of the street from the hostel's lane) that was inexpensive with very friendly owners. FYI: The reviews on here seem to be for two different places, or maybe they've changed ownership. Some of the pictures don't jive and again, no food. If you're looking for friendly staff and clean, simple, and cheap accommodation then this is a great place.

Friendly hostelThe staff were very friendly. There is no lift in hostel. We were located room at level 3. Not much guest during our stay in early May. Room was basic and beds were fitted with heater. We had our first night with water heater down and toilet bowl clogged. All were solved the next day. Around the hostel, there were Lots of eateries around as it's located in tourist area. Expensive food in this area. Lots of touts along the main road asking to join their tour and eat at their restaurant.
