Really poor, overpriced & disappointing.Really and utterly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend staying here at all, I'd suggest just coming for the beautiful vineyards/ wine tasting tours then going home/staying elsewhere! Really NOT worth the money. Very overpriced for what you get. Me & my boyfriend were left feeling very let down by our hotel stay here. To start we paid for a premium vineyard view room to be wrongly put into a standard room. The receptionist's attitude and manner was unprofessional and unconcerning & we couldn't be moved as the hotel was fully booked. No doubt someone was enjoying our premium room elsewhere... We got some free bubbly as compensation and decided to take it in our stride and make the most of it. We then came down to dinner to find the atmosphere in the resturant completely dry & dull. You could hear peoples knives and forks clunking together it was so quiet. It took me to suggest to our waitress to put some background music on to create some sort of ambience. Which once it was turned on - it improved things by a mile!! You'd like to think these small touches would already be in place...Luckily the food we had was good, the heritage tomotoe salad, muscles & lamb tagine. And our waitress was so attentive and lovely. (Thank goodness) As for the breakfast... really poor quality and extremely lacking. Greasy and zero love. You could tell the staff didnt believe in it either. We made a brisk exit after that. But not forgetting the final bill which was wrongly £50 over! My boyfriend had to point this out after checking the receipts. A poor performance Denbies, we certainly be coming back!!! Cheated.

Quieter in Ayia NapaHere now for a romantic night for my husbands Birthday. Quite frankly we should have stayed at home and listened to our teenagers music. We are in room 5 which we are told is one of the nicest rooms but the music speakers are built into the bars ceiling which means right under our floor. VERY loud in our room, cannot listen to our TV, cannot read or relax.....like staying in a noisy pub. They did turn it down for twenty minutes now its full blast again. Not happy, dont stay in room 5

Fix the noise insulation!I found this little gem which looks lovely online looking for a nice quite and relaxing environment. To stay for Christmas. Fortunately I did a bit of research and notice a lot of the comments and it seems like there is a noisy issue! I really hope they fix it! Worst thing ever driving there 16 miles and having a restless sleep!

Outstanding stay at Denbies - highly recommended! We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Denbies Vineyard hotel so that we could visit family in a socially distanced safe way last weekend. Im so glad we did as weve just discovered Surrey are going into Tier 3 this weekend. The rooms are great, we had a spacious double with fantastic views over the vineyard and our teenage boys had a room next door which was equally as good. Everything was very clean and well finished with all the facilities needed and the bed was very comfortable. We slept very well, it was very quiet and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. One of the most amazing breakfasts including pastries, cereals, full English and a wide variety of freshly cooked options, really impressive for a small hotel with very friendly service. Pleased to see they took COVID processes seriously, didnt mind that things were a little bit slower because of this. We took the opportunity to visit the fantastic Denbies Wine Estate with a variety of walks around the vineyard and tours and where we had a delicious lunch and the gift shop was excellent - great for Christmas gifts as well as the wine! Another bonus was the new Paradox Parlours Escape rooms at Denbies, a great family event that wed never experienced before, something different that well look to do again in the future Will definitely book to stay again for the New Year - restrictions permitting!

Birthday covid getawayMy partner and I went away for a special 30th birthday at the start of December 2020 (during covid lockdown). After reading recent reviews I was fairly apprehensive about the stay, but we had a great visit! We were booked in on a special winter package which included a wine tasting in the estate.. Lets start with the wine tasting, it was great! We sampled 6 different drinks and had a fantastic sommelier! It all felt very covid safe. There was no pressure to buy the wines, but If you wanted to they were around £9-£15 each which felt reasonable. We would then have liked to walk the beautiful grounds, but due to the typical English weather it was raining! Instead we checked into our room at the Vineyard hotel. Check In was quick and simple and we were quickly in our room (room 3). The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Based on recent reviews I was really impressed! We had a slight issue with my pre purchased birthday wine not being in the room, but they dealt with this quickly. We spent the afternoon enjoying a bottle of wine in the lovely hotel dining area overlooking the vineyard, followed by relaxing in our room. Dinner (included in our package) was well organised and quickly served. We had the option of 3/4 starters and similar for our main. Our menu wasnt restricted and was the same as everybody elses. We were happy with the meal, however would have been disappointed had we paid for it. It was a limited menu (and fairly basic). Prices were mid/high for what was available. I had beef bourguignon and my partner had a veggie Wellington.. but dishes around £18 each. Service was fine, nothing to write home nor complain about. Breakfast was pre-ordered and its fair to say our eyes were bigger than our Stomach at the time of ordering! We had pastries, fruits and a full English. They were all great! Breakfast was none comparable compared to our evening meal! A freshly cooked fry up of high quality! Finally a note in reference to the other recent reviews on noise. Im a very little sleeper, but didnt find the hotel any noisier than normal. We went to bed early (9.30) but felt it was quiet by 10pm. Wed love to come back in the summer when the covid restrictions dont apply, but probably wouldnt book to eat our evening meal in the hotel restaurant (they have a great looking restaurant called the gallery next door!)
