  Muy acogedor

  El hotel es pequeño pero es muy acogedor, tiene buenas instalaciones, los cuartos son amplios y muy cómodos, lo único que me paso uno de los días fue que el primero no tuve internet wifi hasta el segundo y no pudieron decirme porque no podía entrar. El restaurante es lo mejor muy buenos platillos lo único es que el restaurante y la recepción están en edificio separado y hay que salir caminar un poco para ir y cuando hace frío pues para la cena hay que ir bastante abrigados.

  Un lugar encantador

  Situado bastante cerca de la localidad de Gante este hotel resultó un buen lugar para alojarse, el personal fue muy amable y la habitación perfectamente limpia y acogedora. A destacar la comodidad de la cama, espectacular!. Cerca del hotel además hay lugares para tomar algo por la noche aunque Zelzate es una localidad tranquila.

  Me han cobrado una noche de mas

  Reserva hotel 8 noches por motivos de trabajo. Terminamos antes el trabajo y solicito en recepción adelantar mi salida un día pero como he trabajado de noche le pido hasta que hora de la mañana puedo dormir. Me dicen que no hay problema que la habitación está libre y cuando quiera. Mi sorpresa llega cuando a la 13 horas hago el check out y me cobran el día. Y lo peor de todo es el trato de la dueña que obcecada solo quería que pagará y pagará, no quería hablar nada, solo me dijo que sus empleados son los mejores y que pagará, que para adelantar mi salida ahí que comunicarlo por email y que pagará, no vale que estando hospedado vayas a recepción y lo comuniques y que pagará, me quedo corto con las veces que solicitó el pago del día. Por cierto, si quieres poner una queja hay que decírselo al dueño del local cuando la queja es sobre la dueña del local te vas para tu casa . Por negocios tenemos que volver a la zona varias veces al año varias personas de la empresa, a mi ya me han visto y haré todo lo que pueda para que mi empresa tampoco reserve mas allí. El hotel siendo caro esta bien y es limpio, pero no puedo puntuar con más de una estrella después del trato recibido.

  A Liitle Oasis - From A Handicapped Point Of View.

  Not having had the opportunity to take a holiday this year the wife and I decided that we should recharge the batteries for just a few days in the Dutch province of Zeeland, a couple of hours drive to the west of us. In search of a hotel we had one primary criterion - a handicap room to aid my wifes limited mobility; which relegated all the other standard requirements to second place. Right at the end of the holiday season we had high hopes of finding a hotel in an ideal location but sadly that was not to be. Thus we concluded that perhaps we should widen the search area and look just over the border in Belgium. It was there that we found Hotel/Restaurant Den Hof, a family run establishment in the town of Zelzate - neither of us had ever heard of the place! The town certainly didnt exude much in the way of charm and reading in Wikipedia that it had in the past been rated as the most polluted in Belgium certainly won it no points! However, the hotel acts as an oasis in the heart of town, its two buildings separated by a park area with tall trees and pathways which allow access to both elements - well, almost! My wife is able to walk just short distances and that only with the aid of a rollator. Consequently we were judging the hotel by its handicap facilities, something we had become accustomed to over the last few years. The only let down on the outside was that the footpath connecting the two buildings stopped short of the reception area by about fifteen meters leading us on to the loose gravel of the main driveway; not easy with a rollator! Room facilities are, of course, very important to us with particular emphasis on the bathroom. Remembering that this was a handicap room we were most impressed with the bathroom but being a fairly large space a handicapped person has to cross the room unaided so perhaps additional rails around the outside of the room could be added. Otherwise, the walk-in shower area with its support rails and seat was ideal. The toilet had a support rail on just one side and some disabilities might demand a second rail, one either side. The bedroom was of a conventional layout and was comfortably appointed. The hotel is available for functions; business meetings during the week and weddings at the weekend for example, the result of which is that the parking lot can become completely full as we discovered on our return one evening. One, or more, handicap parking spots would therefore be most useful, but bear in mind that Belgian drivers do have a reputation for taking handicap spots regardless! We ate and drunk at the hotel all of which was most pleasurable although if there is a point to be made its that the breakfast buffet was very basic although it certainly satisfied our needs. All in all the hotel was quite delightful; the staff was extremely helpful, the family owners were hands-on, all the places we wanted to visit in Zeeland were within easy reach and we were very sad to leave at the end of our stay! I think its quite safe to say that we will be back!

  1st time after Covid19 lockdown

  As Visual we made a reservation as we celebrated my husbands bday Welcome was warm and joyfull as we've been here several times before. Menu was very limited but the food.... OMG was amazing.... as always! Added a picture of the dessert I loved to be back and enjoy the warm feeling and amazing food experience We will be back....soon!
