  Poorly managed place

  Aircon is not working Only 1 bathroom has water heater Bare in mind, basic neccessity is not provided. Just a very unpleasant stay. Avoid this, people. Choose a better place. The unit is not clean and the housekeeping is poor

  Hotel by the Jungle

  We came back to this place after 3 years and booked a Penthouse suite for 15 people. Very serene place with a great view of the jungle behind and the town in front. The pool is vacant most of the time, so we had monopoly of the pool. Needs some maintenance as the shower doors give way. Ample parking.

  Ample parking, easy access

  The place is easy access to telok chempedak and town. Near to alor aka seafood restaurant. However, when I checked in, the management was took long to search for my booking and slow. The workers cleaned the mop by just dipping in the pool and mop the floor. Need to improve the hygiene of pool. No wifi at the unit. The unit that I'm staying was awesome, clean, spacious and great. Aircond, water heater etc was working well.

  Short family getaway

  I have rented 2 unit of 3 bedroom apartments. It has kitchen with refrigerator and kettle, living room, 1 en suite bedroom, 2 other rooms shared another bathroom. All rooms and living room with aircond and fan. We got the ground level units, very easy to access and easy for the kids to go to the swimming pool. The swimming pool is very basic, but nice enough for the children. There is a mini market at the apartment, that has all your basic needs, canned and bottled drinks, even bathing suit and float. The price is very reasonable, just your average mini market price, not at all overpriced. So the kids just go shop by themselves, as bery easy access from our ground units. There is no cafe but a lot of local stall and restaurant nearby, teluk cempedak is just 5-10 minutes away by car. Easy to get grab car as well, we went to east coast mall with 6 seater grab at rm12 only. The staffs mostly non-locals, but they are very nice and friendly.

  Renovation work in progress.

  The first apartment we were given was in a terrible state, dirty, infested with ants and horrible mattress on which we could barely sleep. We complained and the Nepalese desk staff was very helpful and let us move to a different apartment which was better. For some reason all the ceiling fans have been removed from both the apartments we saw, leaving wires hanging from the ceilings. Upon request, a ceiling fan was fitted in the master bedroom for us, but not in the living room, I had to borrow a fan from family - I have no wish to sit in aircon all day and pay for the electricity. Housekeeping is carried out once a week, by 2 more Nepalese guys (Nepal must be the latest source for slave labour) who did a reasonable but basic job. They don't have sheets big enough for the bed, have to put 2 smaller ones overlapping, the towels are so old and threadbare, at home I would use them for cleaning the car only. The pool is good, although not regularly cleaned and there's a small mini shop on site for essentials. The main reason for my 'poor' rating is the renovation work that is going on. It portrays a complete disregard for paying guests when they know which apartment I am staying in yet they decide to do noisy renovations in all the surrounding apartments to me. Apparently it's OK, because it's only between 9 am and 5 pm (actually nearer 6). Well actually, it's not OK, as that's when I am in during the heat of the day. The rooms will look better once renovated, they will charge an extra RM1000 p/m and, I suspect, the same lackadaisical attitude to running the place will prevail. Although Wifey doesn't like to stay at Tembeling, I will be seriously looking there for my next visit to Kuantan.
