No volvereHabíamos reservado 3 habitaciones y al llegar solo les quedaban dos, me pareció un gesto muy feo y tuvimos que repartirnos entre las otras dos. Al día siguiente el manager fue amable y nos dio 3 suites y unas bebidas de cortesía por las molestias y no nos cobraron la habitación que compartimos. Gracias a eso la puntuación no es menor pero el inconveniente le sufrimos y lo peor de todo no fue que ganarán dinero vendiendo una habitacion reservada sino que si no hubiéramos ido nos la hubieran cobrado también

Disappointed with service and management attitudeFirstly, we were misinformed about the swimming availability and missed the opportunity to use the pool with our daughters on Saturday. For Saturday night dinner we had booked a table for four in the restaurant at 7:30pm. We had eaten in the same restaurant on Friday night and found it sparsely populated. It was the same at breakfast on Saturday morning. When we arrived for dinner on Saturday the restaurant and lounge area was heavily populated and our table had been allocated to another party. We were offered a bar height table and stools which we declined. We were therefore asked to wait at seats in the reception area and provided with menus to review whilst staff moved two small round lounge tables and some chairs together in the bar/tv lounge area. Staff then advised us that our first round of drinks would be free as an apology while we were being moved to the tables and chairs that had been set up for us. However, after waiting a further half an hour and no staff approaching us, I went to the bar to ask if we could place our order. We were now thirsty and hungry as it was 40mins since our original dinner booking time. When a staff member attended our table to take our drinks order, i asked to place our food order at the same time. Our starters arrived a whole hour after our original dinner booking time. We finished our meal, charged it to our room and whilst my husband and my two daughters returned to our room, I went to reception to ask for our paper cups to be replenished with the in room tea and coffee supplies. In conversation with the gentleman who served me, I mentioned that the service at dinner was not what I expected. I recounted what had happened in terms of the table being given to another party and makeshift arrangements being made to seat us for dinner. I drew attention to the fact I had children who had to wait an hour to eat, to which he replied that they are not very young. I commented that my husband and I frequent Marriott hotels as we are Marriott owners to which he retorted, what you own the Marriott? I explained that we are Marriott owners in Marbella Beach Club and regularly use the hotels for personal and business travel. In fact we had been at this same hotel when it reopened under COVID pandemic conditions and had been very impressed with the then newly introduced arrangements to protect customers and staff. At some point in the conversation the gentlemen announced that he was in fact the second in command at this hotel and had worked here for 17 years. It was therefore even more surprising to me that he was so dismissive of the poor experience I had outlined to him.

Nice and clean but left disappointedLovely hotel, staff very friendly. Breakfast is average nothing special. Room was nice and clean. Only down side which I found very frustrating is you cant book the swimming pool till you arrive which meant we had two slots to choose from 9am-10am or 7pm-8pm. Not great times when we wanted a chilled anniversary weekend. I spent ages looking for a nice hotel and pool to only use it once as it was all booked up. The fair way to do it is to let people book the swimming slots when booking the hotel as we arrived late due to family reasons and were left disappointed!

Fantastic stayMy husband and I had a one night deal which included room, breakfast, three course evening meal, bottle of wine and late check out. The whole experience from start to finish was great. Staff are friendly, rooms are great and the food was really tasty. Would highly recommend. Thank you

DisappointedMy wife and I visited this hotel for the second time in a month, as we enjoyed our first stay. There is no doubt that our room was lovely and spacious, and relatively well equipped. However, even though advertised as having a mini fridge, our standard double room did not, which is vital as one was needed for my diabetic medication. Upon raising this issue with the reception staff, they insisted that our room does not offer a fridge, despite staying in the same room a month earlier, where a fridge was provided. Upon speaking with Housekeeping, they realised their error, and we were moved to a room with a fridge. It appears that attention to detail is lacking - no water in the new room, and the TV only shows certain channels (no BBC), and the bed lumpy and uncomfortable. This is not a cheap hotel, but the quality of our room was really disappointing. I can't say anything negative about the breakfast, which was excellent, and the parking free, but for a so-called luxury hotel, it's not up to scratch.
