Just okay really - nothing amazing. If I were staying in a winter month (where air conditioning isn't needed) and I was on my own on business, I would probably like this hotel more than I did when I visited with my wife and baby son. Good points - the staff - all really friendly (with the exception of a sloppy, disastrous f-up that kept our baby awake for two hours) and helpful. The bar area is very well designed and very pleasant to sit and have drinks in. - the food. All pretty much out of the freezer but it was very tasty indeed, for what it was. Don't expect anything exciting to eat (obviously the pandemic dictates this a little) Bad points - the room was old and tired. Needs updating. Should be a rule against selling yourself as a modern hotel but only with a modern public area. More sockets, new beds (ours was old and creaky) and air conditioning really aren't much to ask for these days. - the hotel allowed a group of perhaps 40, mostly men to book out the whole restaurant - which immediately spilled into the bar, so essentially the whole ground floor was full of people loudly socialising. I don't know why the hotel didn't give them the bar *or* the restaurant - allow the small handful of other guests to be in the other and escape the noise! Both areas very pleasant when not overrun by one group. - The dance music in the bar's great for a 2pm pint on a Saturday - but 10pm needs something a little less upbeat. The lights were on full too, meaning there was nowhere to escape the very much alive atmosphere - and with a baby, this was a shame for us. Our son sleeps very well in most circumstances but he just wouldn't settle in this club atmosphere! It felt like nobody was properly managing the bar. With Coronavirus rife, there shouldn't have been so many people at the bar with zero table service. (where we asked for it, the staff did bring drinks - they were all great) - Lots of surfaces in the bar area with dust on - this isn't a place that's had a deep clean any time recently. Worrying really if this is the policy for the rest of the hotel. Tip to the hotel management - have a look around the fireplace! Honestly, we chose this hotel because it wasn't expensive at all - and as our little boy hasn't been away for half of his short life, we thought we'd see how it went. But on the price issue, we sort of think we ought to have been told about the limitations - for example "there's a huge party taking up the restaurant" or "we only have a limited menu and one beer on offer". Just because something's lower priced, doesn't mean we should accept the basics being underwhelming.

first time, amazing!!!I am nine years old and I thought this hotel was great even though we were there for one night it had realllyyyy good food and it is good to pop in to have a day if there is no where else to stay . they had good staff [very kind prepared and if you forget something they will give you the key because that's what happened to us] why would you not go there again ??!! there is so many good things about this hotel that I can't even mention all of it!!!!!!!!

Foyer great but bedrooms in need of a refurbStayed here overnight on a business trip in early September. Whilst the reception, dining area and bar looked like they'd had a refurb and were great, the bedrooms were lacking in all kinds of ways. After asking to be moved from our first allocated room because it stank of cigarette smoke, we were assigned another very swiftly (thank you) but both rooms were visually extremely tired-looking and the bathrooms had tile staining, badly-applied grout and looked like they were barely being maintained. The bed felt old and worn when you laid on it and the mattress creaked and squeaked every time you turned over, so myself and my wife didn't get a good night's sleep at all, which didn't stand us in good stead for our meeting the next day. On the plus side, the foyer was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, both on check-in and at breakfast. If only the same attention to detail was spent on the rooms as it has been downstairs, this hotel would be great, but I'd seriously consider a Travelodge over the Delta on my next trip if nothing changes.

PoorNot very clean, especially considering my stay was during lockdown, the carpet was covered in someone elses hair. Room service which was the only option other than going out to a take away only had only a very small menu. It also incurred a carriage charge that seems uncharitable when you consider there is no choice and everyone staying is a key worker. Customer service was very varied. I stay in lots of hotels of this budget with work and compare with others I would definitely not recommend it.

Home away from home (business trips)I stayed here every week for almost a year and the staff are great, the rooms are spotless and the TVs are pretty cool for casting Netflix and YouTube off your phone... the gym is amazing and open 24/7 The staff especially during a pandemic are efficient for check in and email receipts and always asking how things are and genuinely seem to care!
