    Wonderful service!

    This was a great overnight with friends just before the start of the coronavirus shutdowns in NJ. The front desk was helpful and the rooms were spacious and immaculate! I was in a King bed room and there was easily enough room for another King sized-bed in the room with additional space! The hotel was quiet even though I was close to the elevator. Would definitely recommend this to a friend looking to stay in this area!

    Once again, another Marriott brand using Covid as an excuse to not care

    Decided on another quick weekend away close to home. Got a great rate at the Delta Hotel in Basking Ridge. Upon arrival today, I was NOT recognized as a top tier, loyalty member nor was ANY attempt made to upgrade my room. I checked in and located my king-bedded room on the 3rd floor. I will say that the room is large and comfortable but cleanliness is an issue. The toilet paper roll was less than one-quarter full and there was no backup roll in the room. This is lousy training, non-existent supervision and a total lack of caring. There were also hairs in the tub and sink. Gross. You have to get ice from the front desk which again, is understandable if a bit annoying. However, if a guest comes down and asks for ice, AND the hotel has removed glasses from guest rooms, AND all desk clerks know this, or should, then OFFER THE GUEST some cups to take back to the room along with their ice. I asked about the Elite Pantry at check in and was told that they don't have one. I am not sure if that's due to Covid or that maybe it just doesn't exist. There is a little market and at that point, the RIGHT thing for the desk clerk to do would have been to say 'we aren't operating the pantry due to Covid but please help yourself to a beverage and a snack if you'd like.' The restaurant is, understandably not open but there are some grab and go breakfast items in the lobby. Again, this would be an opportunity to say to Elite members, 'please let us know your room number in the morning and help yourself to a coffee and a muffin.' It's FOUR BUCKS. Can you NOT spend FOUR BUCKS to make guests happy? Now as for the loud, thumping music on the party bus being used to haul guests to and from a wedding elsewhere. It woke me up from a nap. The person at the desk said she had 'no idea'. She went outside, heard the music and said they're leaving soon. Ok, great. And it came back, again, more thumping music. The RIGHT thing to do would be to quietly say to the bus driver 'hi, could you please turn down the music a little as we have several other guests who may be disturbed by the loud, thumping bass coming out of the bus.' Yeah, that didn't happen either. So, this place is going to become the next one on my never-stay-here-again list and there's a 75% chance that I'm leaving in the morning and going elsewhere. All I really want is some peace and quiet, a thanks for being a loyal Titanium elite member and MAYBE a 50 cent bottle of water. I was in the hotel industry for 6 years, and have worked in travel, retail and customer service for well over 30 years. This is NOT rocket science and STOP blaming Covid. This is HOTEL 101! It's MARRIOTT 101. It's COMMON SENSE. Get some! And get a housekeeping manager with a brain to train the housekeepers on how to clean and replace supplies. There is no excuse for this at all.

    Anyone Work Here?

    Im not sure where the hotel got their pictures from of their rooms, but allow me to share actual ones. Enjoy your stay :) Don't forget to check for the razor blade in your shower. Left immediately. Staff did not seem concerned.

    Excellent service and experienxe

    Despite changes because of COVID we had really excellent service. We asked for 2 extra pillows and 2 extra bath towels and received them quickly. They filled some ziplock bags with ice for us for our cooler. Gave us some cups with tea bags for tea. Room was really clean and well kept. Friendly service. Best out of the 3 hotels weve stayed at on this road trip so far. Highly recommended.

    Clean hotel and friendly staff!

    Excellent stay. The overall hotel and rooms were nice and clean. Front desk staff(Cynthia & Jennifer) is friendly and helpful! Centrally located in NJ with easy highway access to mall, stores, and other areas of attraction.
