Some Peace & Quiet in Bustling SeminyakCelebrated New Year 2015 in Bali and decided to stay with DelMango mainly due to the location. It is tucked away from the main street of Seminyak and it offers some peace and quiet from the bustling of the street. Great location as it is also a 5-8 minutes walk to Bintang supermarket. Easily accessible to all the many restaurants and cafes, including Warung Ocha, from the hotel. Check-in and check-out is done very efficiently. And the staffs are welcoming and helpful enough. Breakfast offers good enough varieties and it was brought in to the villas, which was great. Was given a two-bedroom villa and it is spacious. Great for hosting friends over and those travelling with kids. The pool is nice (check out their website) and where I was being put up, somehow didn't get the full sun and the pool water can be a bit chilly. The main room of that 2-bedroom villa is big which includes a walk-in wardrobe and huge stone bath tub! Beautifully designed space and the room itself is basic with the view of the pool and shared living room. The only main drawback would be the many mosquitoes! There are no mosquito nets in the bedroom and it took me a lot of work to get rid of them before retiring at night. This place can also do a bit more landscaping too, with more plants and trees, in the villa. I will give this resort another try again in the near future but a different room, perhaps I was just unlucky with the room I was put up in where there were mosquito infestations.

Amazing & Wonderfully Perfect Villas!Staying at delMango was hands down the best part of our stay in Bali (as we stayed in Kuta beforehand). Thomas Webber was so fantastic in helping us with our initial reservations which, due to work conflicts, we had to change but it all worked out brilliantly. The villas are perfect and so serene, the pool was so lovely to have to dip into whenever you got a bit warm sitting outside and the indoor area was perfectly chilled with the best air con that kept it ideally cool. The assigned decor made the villas a perfect haven and made it hard to leave to venture out in Seminyak. The location of delMango was ideal with everything a short stroll away but if you needed a scooter, Angel and the fantastic people at reception were happily help. The breakfasts were so scrumptious and the dinners we were lucky enough to enjoy there were absolutely divine. Nyoman was a fantastic knowledgeable driver and a great person to do a day tour with, he is an asset to delMango. Thank you for a most divine stay with you at delMango.

Our terrible Holiday.."For people travelling to del Mango or contemplating booking a visit to this establishment then please take note. We just returned from Del Mango after 8 nights of what was our own comical version of Fawlty Towers. if you want to have a laugh then please read on. Please note - that the management of Del Mango has just changed = 2 weeks. Day one - breakfast served in our Villa. was Ok. The spa button was broken and was hanging from a tree? yes, seriously. Tried to have a hot shower - No Hot water. Rang reception. phone rang out. now you need to understand the layout. the only phone in the room hangs from a wall near the front door. so if you want to use the phone, you need to go outside and stand near the outside toilet. if the phone rings and you are in your room then you need to run 10 metres outside near the toilet to answer it. No minibar, only 4 alcoholic beverages available to order via room service if you can get them to answer the phone. the Villas have no maps, magazines or any information about Bali. $350 per night??? we go to reception to get a taxi to go to dinner, they tell us to walk down the dark alley - no lighting and get our own taxi on the main street? $350 per night?? Mosquito's everywhere. No repellant supplied. Day 2 - we wanted to lounge around in the room and watch a movie on the TV. that was a problem because most of the channels on are blocked - $350 per night and you have very limited TV access. there is no DVD player in the room nor is there a stereo if you wanted to listen to music. Note, there are no sun lounges to lie on in the villa only uncomfortable recycled timber that you can get comfortable on. Still no hot water. we had to ring reception 4 times to chase up our breakfast. my Bacon and eggs were cold. the free inhouse massage arrived over an hour late. waited around Villa, staff couldnt tell us what was going on if we were even going to have a massage. Massage was average at best. Could get a better massage for 80,000 rp = $8aud around the corner. be careful walking down the alleys, couple of the locals arent tourist friendly. very intimidating and scary. Not a comfortable experience. Day 3 - Breakfast arrived 30 minutes late. we had an appointment booked with a tailor so this disrupted our day already. No hot water still. we keep getting told it will be fixed. out side toilet doesnt have any handtowels or handwash?Mosquitos are rampant today as well. they decide to light an Mosquito coil. i decided to go for a swim in our pool, it has Pool chlorine granules floating everywhere. cant swim in it for too long because my eyes and skin became irritated. our package included daily afternoon tea. we still havent received. actually we never got afternoon tea the whole stay. The Food seemed to be getting worse each day. Day 4 - breakfast arrived 30 minutes late again?? when it finally arrived it wasnt what we ordered. we keep ringing reception because they forget to top up our toilet paper each day. getting sick of luke warm showers. Forget tea and coffee. the villa has a useless coffee machine, not tea bags and no milk to be found in the fridge ever. we are starting to get very irritated because for $350 per night you would expect these little things to just happen. staff are all lovely and tried hard, but could not speak english and really had no idea what they were doing. Had to phone to ask for fresh towels and more toilet paper? simple things just dont get done. Day 5 - we had a second massage booked in for 2.00pm. we have to ring reception to chase our breakfast again. i am now laughing because i think someone is playing a joke on me. we go out for the day and come back for the massage. we ring reception to find out where the masseuse is. a staff member comes to our room and say maybe we can do it tomorrow? I was fuming. we have the in house dinner booked in the restaurant. Oh My God. this was just a disgrace. we went to the restaurant area and we had to look around to find a staff member. after 20 minutes or so we seat ourselves and someone attends to us. Note- this very person confirmed our dinner reservation for 6.30pm. he brings us a jug of water and two glasses then walks away. about 15 minutes later he tells us the food is on its way. we ask for a drinks menu - he says "we dont have one". we have Bintang in a can or Local style wine? i asked if i could go back to my villa and bring a bottle of wine and some beer and he laughed and said sure- go get it? the soup came out and lets just say most people wouldnt..... the mains came out. Wow - it can get worse.. couldnt believe what we were seeing. Day 6 - no hot water. i had enough. i got angry with the staff and asked to change rooms. after 2 hours of no communication they open another Villa door and say we can have this one. we had to move all of our own bags and belongings the staff did not even help one bit. i just dont think they that they knew nothing about Hospitality. we move into the room. No sun lounges as well and know no Wifi. so for the next two days i keep asking the staff i we can get the Wifi fixed. they finally install a Wifi extender that was so slow it was useless. this rooms phones was barely hanging on the wall. it was just hanging by its wires. the Villas do not have Irons or Ironing boards $350 per night? after these six days my wife and i just came to the conclusion that we just suck it up. i rang around for accomadation elsewhere, but Bali is very busy this time of year. plus we were settled - sort of and we had tailors and tours booked. i communicated with the new GM of Del Mango via a third party to ask for compensation. we seeked two nights free of charge due to the poor service standard that we received. he offered us a reduced rate of $180 us per night. so people, seriously if you are booked in to stay at Del Mango, get your deposit back and go elsewhere otherwise you will regret it. and for those of you considering staying at Del Mango - Dont. unless you can get it for $0 per night! Not worth a cent..

Luxury, Tranquility and RelaxationAt Denpasar we were met and taken to delMango, On arrival at delMango we were warmly greeted by Angel with a refreshing drink and cool towel. The Villa was incredible, very private, clean, spacious and luxurious. Our own pool and outside kitchen. Our package included breakfast every day and we opted to eat in the restaurant, as it was a lovely place to relax and eat and also chat to the staff. There was the option of a western style breakfast and a more traditional balinese style, give both a try should the opportunity arise. The resort driver took us on an island tour, Newman was great. Explained the local customs, and pointed out things and made a the day very enjoyable. The staff at delMango were great, all very friendly and attentive. We had issues with the wifi, Angel supplied us with a mobile 3G modem which we were extremely grateful. The day we flew home we were given a very late checkout which really made the end of our trip so much more relaxing. I can't recommend delMango enough they made us very welcome, took care of us and given the chance, we would return.

Amazing holiday turned SOUR!!!Lovely hotel, enjoyed our stay until night 3 when I discovered $350 missing from my wallet which was securely locked away in the supposed "safe" safes. If you are staying here the staff are lovely - apart from the dodgy staff member who clearly had access to my safe and managed to steal money while I was out. There were many communication barriers and unfortunately the only manager who was awesome may I add worked odd hours. When I needed help at night she was nowhere to be seen and the other staff couldnt help us at all. The villas were nice but give them a year and they will definitely wear very thin - I could already seem them wearing out and we went when they were only a year old. All in all - what couldve been our first amazing trip of Bali turned very sour and almost ruined by entire experience in Bali. Pre- warning keep all money on you at all times. The owner was great, making us feel more at ease towards the end of our trip, offering a one da extension, clearing our bill free of charge, etc. It still doesn't change the fact that for 5 days I felt unsafe in my own room. I was also kindly offered ONE night free stay voucher - not that I'll ever be back there.
