  Beautiful and unique historic home

  The elegant common areas are a joy to enter and the welcome includes a brief tour of the home. The on-site manager was extremely helpful with guidance on restaurants and nearby attractions. Be aware that the Franklin room on the third floor has a slanted ceiling which makes standing up in parts of the room impossible. The bathroom has a delightful classic claw foot tub and a stall shower. Breakfast was ample and varied, although serving partially used cream cheese and yogurt seems to me a bit too family-style informal for a commercial enterprise.

  Came to see the cranberry harvesting in the Wareham area!

  We decided to stay in Fairhaven as we have never been in the New Bedford area. It was delightful. We enjoyed our stay at the Delano Homestead. Janessa (manager) was so knowledgable and helpful with restaurant selections. She also cooks eggs for breakfast! We stayed in the Sara room which has a comfy king bed and attached bathroom. There is a great collection of photos and info about the Delano family. Right down the street are some historic buildings-Town Hall and the Millicent Library which are architectural gems.

  Strange

  We were told we were the only guests but in the middle of the night heard sounds. Turns out another couple was there and we were not told. The owner does not live in the Inn and the Innkeeper just showed up to check us in. She was late for breakfast which consisted of store bought pastries and numerous things from the refrigerator like opened tubs of yoghurt. I never had an experience like this before at a B&B.

  Cute historical home

  Stayed here in the Green Room this weekend. This room doesnt have in suite bathroom but its just outside the door. It also is in the front of the house that faced the street but was very quiet. It had a window air conditioner that was just ok. Breakfast was wonderful. We were convinced that if it werent for Kaisa who worked the breakfast room and took care of everything else in the house, it would be just ok. She was delightful and helpful. The house was very clean. The only negative I have to share is that the towels smelled a bit musty. The shower was great, the bed was comfortable (pillows not so much).

  Delightful home and neighborhood

  We spent 2 nights while visiting our daughter in Fairhaven. This historic house is well maintained and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was quiet. Good night sleep in a beautiful setting-- will be back!
