  Flawless, no other way to put it

  Starting with cost, this place does not come cheap so you have to know that coming in. That said, if you can afford this location it is certainly worth it. The views are the best on the island, the breakfast is first rate, the service is flawless, and not a single need or want is left unmet. Once you check in the whole hotel goes above and beyond to do everything within their power to give you the perfect experience. Don't have a dinner reservation? Don't worry about it, they will make you a reservation wherever you want and based on their reputation, have ways of getting you a spot at restaurants that are already full. To put it another way, everyone on the island who found out we were at the Delamore Lodge raved about it and told us how fortunate we were. It is simply the best. Worth every penny.

  Idyllic

  An exceptional boutique hotel in all respects: great rooms, views, service, food, and grounds. Waiheke Island is a blast, and the Delamore Lodge is a wonderful place to base. We would absolutely visit again.

  Wonderful 3 night stay

  We had a great long weekend in mid January and sorry havent had time to rave earlier. Due to flight delays from Australia we didnt arrive until 7pm but were on and wine and food package and the first night had a wondrous dinner prepared by Grace. Still thinking about the sublime flavours of the scallop soup. Breakfast delicious and the addition of a cooked breakfast wasnt needed after such a feast. Lovely pool temperature. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the room decor and views were delightful. We hope to return. All the staff were lovely to deal with

  Fantastic Retreat

  Our cruise holidays in ruins due the Corona virus, we decided to try to recoup our vacation. Booked at Delamore Lodge, OMG what a great choice we made. The lodge is beyond beautiful with extraordinary views, excellent food and the owner is warm and so accommodating. Lots to do despite the slowing down of tourism on Waiheke. If you are stuck in NZ or cant go away on holidays, thisd is the place to come!!!

  A bit of a surprise

  We recently spent a fantastic weekend at Delamore Lodge, complete with helicopter transfer. It is a wonderful place: great location, superb views and wonderful rooms. It was, however, let down by the small things, mostly service-related. Staff were lovely but thin on the ground. Sarah (the manager) was great and super helpful, but she was let down by the chap helping her and could have done with some extra support. Some things were well done (spa, massage treatments, breakfast, room fit outs), but heres a few examples of what you dont expect for $1.5k per night: - Gin & tonic came with flat tonic and no lemon on the 2nd night. - They had a very limited drinks selection eg no malt whiskies, Baileys or Aperol. - Dirty dishes in the room from lunch / canapés werent cleared away until the next morning. - There was no turn down service. - The taxi theyd ordered for us was booked for the wrong time (they fixed it well though). - the first night we were served (delicious) canapés on the terrace. The second night we were told we would get them in the room - no choice offered. - The nice French chap got very confused with bookings and kept insisting hed booked us into Oyster Inn at the wrong time. The helpful chef pointed out his error. - Another couple experienced similar issues - they could never get a beer (only 2 types available apparently) and had to go fetch a lemon and cut it themselves. These little things were niggles and didnt really detract from what was a wonderful weekend. They became quite amusing... Whats annoying is that they are really easily fixed (better / more staff and a bit more care). The owners need to give Sarah some more support if they want to keep it at the top of the ratings. Or lower the price to meet expectations. It also needs a bit of a refurb as some of it is looking tired. We were lucky enough to have been gifted the experience so only had to pay for one extra night. Others werent so fortunate...
