  A perfect stay at Hotel Degli Oleandri

  Grazie mille to all the staff at Hotel Degli Oleandri. I stayed there for 6 nights with my daughter, each haviing our own room. The hotel is in a very good location, not far from the entrance to Sirmione Old Town. It is also very close to the lake bathing area. I would describe this hotel as 'boutique', very tastefully decorated and presented and it is clear that they take pride in their hotel. The staff are courteous and whenever you meet any member of staff, you are greeted with a friendly, " Buongiorno". I had the double room while my daughter had the small single. Both rooms were nicely furnished and comfortable, perfectly adequate for our needs. The bathrooms had everything we wanted, the showers worked efficiently and everyhwere was spotlessly clean. I had an issue with my room, which I reported to the front desk. The matter was taken very seriously, profuse apologies were given and the matter was sorted, for which I was very grateful. The buffet breakfast was beautifully presented, with staff on hand to clear and restock items as they were used. The buffet had a great selection of items from hot and cold to savoury and sweet. Obviously, different nationalities eat different things for breakfast, but in my opinion, the breakfast buffet catered for all tastes and there was something there for everyone. The staff on reception want to help as much as possible and can assist with bookings and give discount vouchers. So, speak to them and let them advise you. We enjoyed our stay in Sirmione very much and as we were leaving and we said goodbye, I promised to leave a good review and so here it is. If I go back to Sirmione in the future, I would certainly stay there again.

  A gem in the old town

  We were welcomed by the very helpful staff gave us good advice about finding our way round the town and surroundings. We were given a 3-day lake boat discount ticket.The boat terminal, castle and restaurants are a 2-minute walk away. We found the history of the hotel to be fascinating, in a perfect quiet position in the old city and everything more than lived up to our expectations. We particularly enjoyed the varied breakfasts especially the wonderful cakes that Stefania baked. Our room had good a/c, was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Wi-fi was excellent throughout. We would gladly return for a future holiday.

  A hidden gem in Sirmione old town

  Stayed for 5 nights and can recommend this small friendly hotel. Our small double room was fine. Everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water and efficient air conditioning. Breakfast was good and replenished regularly. Staff were very helpful especially when I had difficulty with a tour I had booked. An excellent location and we loved the roof terrace.

  Beautiful Hotel, Stunning location

  We have just returned from Sirmione, Lake Garda and stayed at the Hotel Degli Oleandri. we had a wonderful stay, the location was perfect, hotel was lovely, staff were all very friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. Would definately love to return.

  Great location, stunning views and friendly staff

  My partner and I stayed for 3 nights as part of a bigger trip and the hotel was in the perfect location, right in the middle of the old town but on a quiet stretch of road so the rooms were peaceful. We had breakfast on the terrace twice which is an extra 5 per person per day, the first day it was so windy we couldnt really enjoy it but the view was great so we booked again for the second day and the view of the lake was really stunning. (I would advise to check the weather forecast for the next morning if you are going to book this) The staff were so friendly and helpful, always greeted us as we wanted the lobby and also kindly helped us to book a taxi to the train station on our last day. (For reference it was 30 from the hotel to Desenzano Del Garda train station. We had previously paid a taxi 10 to take us to the port in Desenzano and then 15 for 2 x single fare to Sirmione plus extra for our suitcases, so we thought the price was good for much less hassle and door to door service. Drive was about 20 minutes.) We also rented a boat for one day with Bertoldi Boats which were AMAZING and definitely something you should do if youre in lake Garda! Will leave a full separate review for them. The bathroom was small but clean and modern, the shower was nice and powerful and the room overall was clean, modern, small but very cosy bed. (We has a small double room so it was what we expected). You dont need a big expensive room as you will be out exploring most of the time, it was perfect for us Many thanks to the staff at the hotel for a great stay
