  More than expected!

  I found the owners and staff of this establishment friendly, accomodating and more than willing to go the extra mile. Facilities are more than what you pay for. Gibbon prepares the scrumptios breakfeasts with his own twist to continental offerings very successfully. Conference facilities for small groups are available. I would advise to cater business clients a bit better with working stations in the rooms. I can recommend De Oude Herberg to anyone looking for value for money!

  "Old" is not always desirable

  A spaciious room , an excellent bed and the place offers several social spaces. However, when the temperature outside reaches 30 degrees or above one or two fans do not do the job: The sleeping quality was not very high. Breakfast - I've had better and much fresher. The WiFi didn't work for me - maybe it was a temporary break down so I had to use my own mobile router to get connected.

  Homely, WiFi, Fantastic breakfast, Secure, Friendly host, large rooms

  Spent three days in the De Oude Herberg B&B and it was really relaxing. Uber cars were there in minutes so excursions to theMall fit Africa and other places were easy to do. Furnished old style with lots of interesting nick nacks. Breakfast was amazing, the chef circulates in his neat white pressed uniform.

  Comfort and Quality

  My stay was only for one night and there aren't much in the way of negatives. The signage along the route are ample and the address was well marked. The staff and owner are very friendly, well trained and they don't end up under your feet. Parking were comfortably close and behind a high wall. My room was big, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was very tasty and the coffee were worth mentioning. The "Honesty Bar" operated by the owner's son is a very novel idea and I wish him well in his endeavours. The whole place is very well thought out, the swimming pool looked extremely inviting and overall the place exudes charm. The only negatives I can think of was the terrible wifi signal and the absence of airconditioning in my room. I think the roof fan will not do it for me during mid summer. All said and done, Yes, I will go back and yes, I will recommend this place.

  Last Minute Travelling

  Found myself needing accommodation last minute. Found this place on the internet. Pictures and the reviews looked good but this is however not always the case when you get to the place. I was pleasantly surprised. All is as it appears for a change. Room is very well maintained. Spacious and quiet. Breakfast was amazing. Tried connecting to the Wifi but couldn't find the password anywhere. As I booked in very late I didn't want to bother the owners in the middle of the night for a wifi password. So it actually worked out well as I got a proper nights sleep and a small digital detox. Maybe have the password available in the room? Apart from the Wifi all else was top notch!! Will most certainly recommend this place to all and will definitely stay here again if the need arises. Thank you for your hospitality.
