  Great location surrounded by 12-15 restaurants of all kinds of cuisines

  It has free parking, but we couldn't find it when we were on our way so we parked down the street. The front desk gave us directions, but we didn't feel like moving the car again. LOCATION: Very Good PRICE: Good SERVICE: Good ROOM: Average

  Nice stay at Hotel de l'Empereur Valkenburg

  I chose Hotel de l'Empereur Valkenburg for the price and proximity to the center of town (just a short 5-10 minute walk from the train station) and was not disappointed. Oh, I'm sure I could have spent more money for something more opulent, but this hotel met my needs. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet was ample and more than adequate (the coffee was great!). The staff were welcoming and friendly. It is centrally located - Castle Valkenburg, restaurants, Christmas market, and retail stores, all within a couple of minutes walk. So there you have it. My room was in the back, off of main street, so I was able to miss out on the late night revelry and sleep very well. I'd stay again - and just might!

  Superb location

  Stayed here as a group in couples rooms. The hotel is in the best location possible. The Christmas parade went directly passed. The hotel fences off the area directly outside where you can get table service at your request. The rooms are old in decor and are clearly allowed to be smoked in as was ours upon arrival. We had to air it out for several hours but once we had done this it was fine. The bar is nice, very quiet. The breakfast was lovely, not much more youd need for a full continental breakfast, fresh warm rolls, loaf cake, cold meats, hot meats, cereals, cheese, juice and tea / coffee. Would recommend staying here if your not after a posh hotel and have the ethos of its a place to sleep and get ready

  Do not eat here!

  The food is terrible. I ordered a Hamburger Spacial and it was hardly recognizable as hamburger. Like the cheapest prepacked meat one can find in a.low-budget supermarket. Het eten is verschrikkelijk. Ik bestelde een Hambirger Speciaal die nauwelujks als h1mburger herkenbaar was. Vergelijkbaar met de allergoedkoopste voorverpakte burgers in de supermarkt. Sla het restaurant dus over!

  In the center of Valkenburg

  We were in for a nice weekend in Valkenburg. We found a nice hotel right in the centre close to all things we wanted to visit. Free parking behind the hotel. Oh dont forget to give the receptionist the number of your license plate. Clean hotel, nice people but the hotel is old. Rooms are small and also quit old. Beds are good and despite that the hotel and rooms are old, they are very clean. Unfortunately there is a club right next to the hotel of which you hear till 3am the music in your room. Really disturbing! We couldnt sleep until after 3am! What a pity! We had to shorten our stay.
