  Really nice basic hotel

  Really liked this hotel so much that we stayed an extra night. Very basic but there was something lovely about the staff who were incredibly helpful and it seemed to be run well. Hearty breakfast included cereals, fruits and croissants as well as cheese and ham and the coffees were great and they made two for us! I really recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area and wanting the best of both worlds, shopping, town and the sea ten minutes walk away.

  The hotel is situated on the edge of the old town: the central piazza is only a few minutes' walk away, as is the sea front. The hotel is very comfortable, and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is above average for this grade of hotel: an excellent fresh fruit salad, good coffee, cereals, meat and cheese were always available. There is a bar and restaurant for lunch and evening meals - usually quite quiet, but packed on Saturday evening. We would recommend the Hotel de la Ville for comfort, convenience and a warm welcome.

  Nice friendly hotel

  The hotel is on the edge of town and is ideally placed for exploring Fano town centre. A short walk across the bridge and you are into the main shopping street. The Hotel is family run and nothing was too much trouble. It looks like it is being refurbished and some parts are a bit dated but the enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff more than made up for this. Breakfast was excellent and all fresh, for a small hotel there was a good selection, better than some of the bigger hotels we stayed at. The attached restaurant specialised in fish dishes all locally sourced. The free WiFi was a welcome bonus.

  Good hotel in Fano

  This is hotel is a family business. Owners attend it personally. Rooms are typical size for European hotels in small cities. It's clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in the heart of Fano, so expect some noise during nights of you have to open the windows. I wouldn't expect this to be an issue during summer, but it can be during fall when the AC is shut down. Restaurant is great and is run by the owner's son, who is absolutely kind and helpful. Not every staff person can speak English but those who do, can help with almost everything. I wouldn't doubt to stay again.

  Delightful De La Ville

  Ideally located on the edge of Fano town. Stroll along the cobbled streets and admire the ancient monuments including the Roman arch of Emperor Augustus. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely helpful staff. Included in the price is a wonderful buffet breakfast at the Hotel Augustus offering a vast selection including cakes, pastries, toast, Parma ham, cheeses, eggs and much more. We will definitely return to this hotel.
