  Fantastic hotel in the little village of Aunay sur Odon. Exceptional service and great ambience. Superb restaurant with multiple choices of set menus plus à la carte. Owners and staff are great and hotel is very reasonably priced. Will definitely return.

  Quaint hotel - a must see!

  This quaint hotel in the village of Aunay-Sur- Odon is a must see. This family run hotel is neat, clean and efficient. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant with a wide variety if local French cuisine from Duck liver pate, camembert wrapped in ham in Phyllis pastry to veal with mushrooms and even duck breast in blueberry sauce. Not to mention the delicious desserts. The service was excellent and the price was worth it for the taste.and portion sizes. The hotel also has a bar area and coffee shop. We will be back.

  Stay at hotel de la place aunay sur odon

  When you like staying in a noisy room, tap dancing upstair neighbours and loud talking french hotel personel. And like the decoration of your room dating out of the period France was still an occupied country. Don't hesitate and book at this hotel and don't forget to mention you would like to stay at room 1. Because this is where all the magic happens. Also the breakfast looks like there is an emergency ration going on. The only positive thing was that the staff was friendly

  Brilliant restaurant

  Nine of us to celebrate my birthday, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good, and considering it was a Monday evening, the restaurant busy and buzzy. They provided a birthday cake for desert, excellent value all round.

  Disappointing

  · The room no 5 was very small we stayed here 4 nights and expected better, we are not inclined to complain as we expected as we were not a 1 nighter we would have been treated accordingly with room allocation. The room was tiny and we accept that there was a heatwave but we were never asked if the room was ok or if we needed a fan. ( we knew there was no air con when we booked. ) we opened the window at night but the noise from the traffic and the bar below did not help. Because of the heat we slept on top of the bed, therefore the bed was not made each day, but the only service the room had was to empty the bins. I even left the towels across the back of a chair to see If they were changed, but on returning each day from wonderful sightseeing the towels remained where I left them. I noticed in a previous review about a socket hanging off the wall some months ago! And this was still not mended. We had a wonderful few days in Normandy but should we return we would find another hotel. We continued our journey to the Dordogne and wish we could have stayed in the next hotel longer! We didnt complain again but there was no need as everything was perfect from the beginning as it should be..
