  Adequate hotel in the heart of Albert

  Two couples spent one night there. Cost was 120 per room - breakfast at 10 pp. Room was adequate. No aircon. It was very hot so had to open windows. Still hot. The window blind in our room was broken and someone had rolled it up and wedged it on top of the window. You have to have a ladder to do that. By standing on a chair on tiptoes I was just able to dislodge it so we had a blind for the night. Why do that and not just fix it? No lift (elevator) so you have to lug your luggage up to, in our case, the 2nd floor. Narrow staircase. Breakfast was basic continental buffet. 10 each was toppy IMHO. Car parking is free street parking. Nothing fundamentally wrong with it but not great value hence the rating.

  A very good Logis Hotel

  It is becoming more difficult to find hotels within the Logis de France franchise which have restaurants of this standard attached. We had intended to stay here in 2018 but the hotel shuts in August and we went to the Ibis instead. That was a less than brilliant experience (see previous review) so we were glad to be able to stay here this time. We were given a second floor room at the back which was fine despite the lack of a lift. The room was very nicely decorated and perfect for what we wanted. The only downside was that in the middle of the night my other half was woken convinced that someone had just walked across the room to the bathroom and I woke up because the shower had suddenly switched itself on. There is a floor above so it could have been someone above us but that floor did not seem to be guest accommodation. Make of it what you will - we take it all in our stride these days ! The restaurant is very good indeed and we had an excellent meal. Slightly marred by a group of Brits who felt it necessary to conduct their conversation at 98 decibels regardless of who else was in the room. Regrettably it is a fact of life these days that people seem to feel that shrieking at each other is acceptable. Breakfast is fairly standard but very good and set us up for the following day very well. The cost for dinner bed and breakfast was EUR 223. Parking is a bit of a lottery but we toured around the square a bit and we were just lucky that someone pulled out of a space directly in front of the hotel. If you are planning to visit Somme Battlefields then this hotel is a good base. Albert, after all, was a location for billets for the troops in WW1

  Lovely food

  My sister and I had the pleasure of dining here in November 2019. We did not stay at this venue but if a next time I will. We only ate in the restaurant. The food was lovely ( especially the duck terrine !) the service impeccable and the staff were very friendly. In particular I would like to make special mention of Chef Didier, who went to great lengths to help us with another matter. If i am able to visit Albert again, I would return to this establishment to dine and make a point of staying with them as well. Thank you again.

  Refund

  Hi my name is Sarah Bednall. I booked this hotel for May the 21st till the 24th. Of cause I had cancel it because of the coronvisus. Very disappointed I really was looking forward to it. But of cause I phoned the hotel and Expedia for a refund. But haven't received it yet. It was weeks ago when I cancelled it. And they said I will get it. But nothing. I have been very patient about this because of the situation around world. But really i just thing its a poor service, sorry to say. Please can I have my refund back. Please

  Great food & accommodation

  This was our first night stop on our WWI and WWII tour of northern France. Lovely welcome, clean and functional rooms, friendly staff and really great, tasty food. Thoroughly recommend and offered to store our luggage whilst we visited the museum opposite. The hotel is also ideally located with the town of Albert worth a walk around as well.
