  Me encanto...

  Es como un negocio familiar, pequeño, todo muy limpio y el servicio educado y agradable. En el desayuno hay mucha variedad y lo malo que en la noche no abre el restaurante para cenas. La Habitación es fenomenal con sus camas y sofaes haciéndole alegoría a la Francia de los siglos pasados y tuvimos la suerte de tener nuestra terraza privada.. Ahhh y otra cosa se puede ir andando al centro de la ciudad, no hay perdida.

  Good hotel with nice location

  Hotel de France on Taunusstrasse is near shopping streets of Wiesbaden and very reachable by the bus nro 1 (Dürerplatz Nerotal) from railwaystation. Room was a bit outdated but the bed was good and the bathroom updated, meaning in a very good condition. Breakfast had really good quality. Tip one. Buy a ticket to Frankfurt Airport / Flughafen (FRA) already from the bus driver. With the same ticket you are able to take regional train (S) to airport (only 40-45 min). Tip two. There is a very good traditional German pub opposite to the hotel! We do recommend it and Hotel de France with pleasure.

  Clean but poor facilities

  The hotel is an older building on a busy street. Staff were friendly and my room and bathroom were clean but I felt the hotel fell short in three areas: 1. No car parking. If you get lucky you can park on the street for free after 6pm, otherwise they send you to the underground casino carpark. There you get a discounted rate of Eur12/day but it is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. 2. The WiFi wasn't working. The receptionist apologized and said that yes, they knew. 3. No air conditioning. It was hot during my stay and the room was uncomfortably warm. Plus, sleeping with the windows open lets the traffic noise in. In addition, my room was very small and the nicely appointed bathroom extremely cramped. There is an elevator but it's very small and I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. (Which I'm sure was good for me.) Breakfast was the usual selection of bread, meat and cheese plus some hot items and yogurt. There's no bar or restaurant on site although you can buy drinks at reception. There are a lot of eateries close by though, so this shouldn't be a problem. Bottom line: while a decent place to stay I found several aspects of the hotel disappointing.

  Close to downtown

  Nice and cosy accommodation. Bus Nr.1 from Main Station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bavarian food and beer across the street.(Weihenstephaner Restaurant). Asian food only a few steps away. So its very central. Enjoy it

  LOVED THIS HOTEL

  A tip unless I read incorrectly via trip advisor the directions to the hotel from the train station were incorrect From the train station catch bus No 1 in the direction of Durerplatz-nerotal BUT ask the driver to let you off at the stop nearest this hotel I will attach a photo of the bus stop then as per trip advisor it would be 40 steps across the road. The reception isn't 24 hrs but not required for us anyway. The room was lovely. We looked out to the Main Street. I just loved this town. From the hotel walking distance was not far to the main square. The staff here were lovely especially one lady at breakfast. She was very helpful and I wish we had been there another night to try the restaurant she recommended. We ate one night at a place fairly close to the hitel there was a park behind it. We had the amazing pizza and aperol spritz. The pizza we had was half metre and scissors to cut it such a great idea. There was a Aldi supermarket think we picked up water for something like.20c Remember the German trains include the bus fares for 24hrs
