  Sencillo y con buena atención

  Es un hotel bien ubicado a unas 5 cuadras a pie de la costanera / playa. La habitación era bastante pequeña y el baño algo antiguo pero todo estaba en buenas condiciones de higiene. Que tengan aire acondicionado en la habitación hizo la diferencia. El personal que atiende el hotel es realmente muy amable y pudimos entendernos hablando "algo" de inglés. El desayuno muy completo, con jugos, croissants, quesos, dulces. El precio es algo elevado en cuanto a la relación precio-calidad pero hay que tener en cuenta que estamos hablando de una zona cara.

  Necesita una reforma

  El personal muy agradable, pero en Francia los hoteles siguen siendo carísimos en relación a su calidad. Las habitaciones antiguas, la moqueta con manchas y la ducha del baño con cortina en lugar de mampara. Dentro del armario habia varias tuberías y cables. Lo mejor para mi fue el desayuno.

  A friendly 'Base Camp' for exploring.

  St Raphael is a good place to start from if you want to explore the Cote d'Azure on a budget, with Hotel de Flore providing all that you need to get going. The front of the hotel is in amongst a street of shops and doesn't look very big, but it opens out above and to each side 'around' the neighbouring properties. The great bonus is that walking to the train or bus station is quick and easy with transport available to the 'glitzy' resorts along the coast, knowing you have a little 'bolt hole' to come back to. The rooms are perfectly adequate with most of the bathrooms having been refurbished. Ours was an ample size with a good shower, but if you're an early riser it might take a while for the hot water get through to you (when it does it's very good).There was a large enough wardrobe/cupboard for hanging space but some drawer space would have been good for all the odds and ends of smaller necessities. My suitcase spent the week flat on the floor like a deep drawer ! Housekeeping was good with rooms well serviced , with all the staff ready to help if needed. It is basically a French hotel so it helps if you try a little of your own 'school standard ' French. It is appreciated and they. in turn will try to help you. The Manageress , Sandrine is a star, keeping an eye on everything , helping, explaining and suggesting visits if you need it. The breakfast is basic but good, with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, ham, boiled eggs and breads/pastries, with fruit juices, tea and coffee. Giving star rating can be just a question of personal taste sometimes, but from the lower end of star rating to the upper end covers a whole range of attributes. It often depends on what you see as important. This hotel is within the three star range and in a quirky French style that we love. It's not the glitzy, smart upper end of the scale - but that's often just cosmetic. Flore is comfortable, convenient, friendly and good value. We would recommend it to our friends and family.

  Disgusting & disappointing

  Filthy, noisy & definitely the 3 stars hit the building and destroyed it..! I had doubts even for the hygiene of linens & towels. Disappointing and disgusting..!! The location is very good but its the only good thing about it..! Very poor breakfast and toiletries too.. I definitely dont recommend it..!!

  for a quick stop

  The only stars I give are for the staff.... very nice front desk attendants. The hotel doesnt have parking, you have to park on the street between 7pm and 9 am. Every floor is carpet, even in the rooms. The room itself is a small size, clean, and good size bathroom. The beds are not very comfortable and it smelled like cigarette. We paid to get breakfast, which is basic, cereals, some bread, croissant and cheese and ham. Pretty desappointing for a french hotel. Croissants tasted old.... We also had a lound noise in our room, like an engine (sounds like the spin cycle on the washing machine that never ends.... ) I would not go back.
