  Skiing at King Pine

  Rooms were upto date, clean and modern. Far enough from the main road to provide a quiet night. Very close to King Pine ski area and great dinning at Hobbs Tavern. The exterior does not reflect the interior. Could use more help at the front desk for guest services.

  Very nice spur of the moment stay

  Decided to head north for a quick overnight & day of skiing. Days Inn was an inexpensive option I had not tried before. When I arrived, the front desk informed me that the cable/internet was out due to the weather. Turns out cable/internet was out everywhere I went that evening, so everyone was affected. Overall nice room on the second floor. Vaulted ceilings made the room feel very large. I would have given the hotel a 5 rating, except for the left over Ben & Jerry's Ice cream that was frozen solid in my room refrigerator freezer. Otherwise everything was great. Simple breakfast, but with something for everyone. I would recommend & intend to stay again.

  Ski King Pine

  Perfect location for King Pine Ski and Stay overnight. Super Clean and safe. Heated indoor Pool thats kept at 90 degrees. Continental Breakfast available! Across the street is a 24 hour 7-Eleven like no other. Boars Head Deli, Fresh pastry and Doughnuts among the few Conveniences available directly across the street.   great motel to stay at

  This was a family trip that we do every year for the past 30 years. And we always stay at this motel. The owner, Mike, is great and the host, Steve, is a lifesaver. He is always there when you need him.

  Are you kidding? Using covid as an excuse for not cleaning a room?

  Reading some of the reviews here I would guess they are questionable just because I've been there done that.. and without delay here is the skinny on the real facts. Conveniently located on corner main road (two parking lot entrances). The Days Inn is set back a little so if you are whizzing along you may pass by the entrance, but there's no need to fear as there is a second entrance down the side road adjacent to it. There is no elevator at this location that we saw. Parking lot is very large. There is a convenient store and gas station across street (nice interesting decor). Day time Manager was helpful and courteous; the evening desk person was a bit creepy and distant. Hallways and space seem clean and without nasty odors. Why my rating was only two stars: There is no notice that breakfast and sauna was closed due to covid infection - that defies what is noted online. (to their defense they did put out a few pieces of fruit (apples.bananas) and yogurt - but they run out quickly and you're not informed that despite the breakfast being closed that there is some fruit put out. Most importantly there is NO sign that they do not make beds, nor change towels, each day - as a matter of fact they don't enter the room until you check-out. I have traveled to over 40 States for business and leisure. In all of them except this one they indicate for guests to leave towels that need to be changed on the floor. So it only goes to say you leave used towels on floor if you want them changed out... oops! To their defense when I complained about then having soiled towels because we left them on the floor we were given a few clean towels. We did have to seek out the manager to make the request though. When asked why I was quoted something to do with NH Code 9 or something other number which is ridiculous because what is the difference between changing your soiled towels each day, and/or making your bed versus doing before the guests arrive? The bedroom was host to a giant cricket with legs asl long as for a runway model, and later in evening we also had a stink bug visit us. Don't worry we executed both.. but for the squeamish these were BIG ass bugs not ants. I guess you can't blame them for bugs being in the room, but how the heck did such big bugs get into the room? Fortunately, we were only using the motel as a base for sleeping and washing up and not spending any time in otherwise such as for a closed pool or sauna. WiFi is free. They will provide you PW on room key holder. There is a large mini fridge and microwave in each room along with tv, ironing board and coffee maker. The TV system in room sucks. Be warned it is very slow to respond to your commands. The guide is "004" enter. To scroll up or down guide you need to use the "Volume" control (What?). Most sensible people would expect such instructions to exist somewhere in the room near where there is an envelope for you to leave a gratuity for unmade bed, uncleaned room, dirty towels, and feckless tv. We are grateful the friedge worked. We were afraid of using the microwave as we didn't know if it leaked any microwaves as it seems everything else was done on the cheap. This location is approximately 20 minutes south of Conway, and about 15 minutes south of the Kancamagus Highway. Check out was seamless. We would not return during covid unless it was the last property available at an affordable rate, but I think I would dig deep in my wallet for paying almost $200 for a single weekend night I can do better and expect more. This is a Days Inn.. compromised quality seem to be a universal ongoing theme. Don't expect miracles. I think this chain is leaving my list of properties to consider when seeking lodging.
