  Basic but clean and tidy and value for money

  The location was good, close to shops, restaurants and supermarket. The property is a bit older and built of concrete brick, but it was warm, clean and tidy with tv, good size bathroom and split system air con. Value for money if you are on a bit of a budget and not expecting luxury accomodation however this was a nice property for an overnight stay. Would like to see proper coffee facilities in accomodation as the price has now made machines or plungers in rooms an affordable option. Were able to order room service breakfast if you wanted so that was a nice option, although many cafes within walking distance if you wanted to go out for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful and inspections were invited which is also a good thing if you are not sure about the property.

  Dont even trust with your card details !!!!

  I rang the Motel and booked a King spa room the night before told all ok taken card details etc .... Arrived at 1 pm i know that was early and didn't expect the room got a lady at reception that could take my booking take my money and then took me to the room and she looked inside and told me it wasn't ready ... This was NO PROBLEM I was early so i went to look around town and arrived back and went in with my key well no spa a bed that was the shape of a banana and the last 2 rows of tiles grout in the shower was blacker a little mold farm in there !!! This is when i went to the reception and well well the family that is there didn't speak English now ( same woman ) and did nothing i had to leave at this point .... went for a walk and then went back demanded a refund to which they called the cleaner in to talk what a joke !!! beware if you book because what you may get is a room of mold a bed like a hammock and people just not speaking English and these people are supposed to be the NEW OWNERS ?????

  Wonderful stay with friendly hosts

  Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was spotless and the bed very comfy. The building had lots of character and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again on our next visit to Daylesford.

  Great value and friendly people

  For me it is my home away from home. It is a short walk to the intercity bus stop, the supermarket and all the cafes and restaurants. My room has everything I need and, apart from some traffic noise, it is a quiet area.

  New owners, still great

  This time we chose the disabled twin room, which is in an elevated position with a ramp to the entry. The bathroom was spacious and had good features. Our stay was good, the Sunday was very quiet (Friday and Saturday are the big nights here). I love how it is close to everything. We even saw lizards near our room. We arrived very early, but they let us drop our bags off and use facilities before we went off to see the town.
