  Taken by surprise

  We were booked by a business associate and it was a wonderful stay. Although it was only for one night but will be going back again for a longer stay for sure. There were two rooms booked and one was with the view of the main front side and was a big glass (with sliders to cover in the night) which made the room look amazingly beautiful.

  Good hotel, though it has a number of cons

  Stayed here for 5 nights on a business trip. Overall the hotel is pretty good - nice spacious rooms, large seating areas in restaurants, good spread at the buffets, and helpful and courteous staff. However, it does suffer from a few shortcomings, most of which are easily addressable: - No ATM! I took a cab from the Shenzhen airport without withdrawing money there, figuring I would withdraw at the hotel. I only had USD on me. Had to ask the Concierge to talk to the cab driver (I dont speak Mandarin) and ask him to take me to an ATM nearby so that I could pay him. After a 16 hour flight, you want to be in your room checked in as quickly as you can, instead of wasting time looking for an ATM. - WiFi is atrocious!! The WiFi connection keeps dropping every few minutes. It became almost impossible for me to use my laptop. Finally I had to run a hotspot from my cellphone and use that to work on my laptop. Very frustrating experience. - English is still a problem - Ive been traveling to Shenzhen for over 10 years now, and over this period, it has become increasingly easier to find English speaking staff at hotels here. At this hotel, Reception staff speak fluent English, but thats about it. If I called room service, they hung up on me because they didnt have an English speaking person manning the phone. Same goes for the Spa. So much so, that I had to take a cab to the Shenzhen border to cross over to HK, and I asked the Concierge to explain to the cab driver where I had to go. The concierge person said he understood, but he gave completely wrong instructions to the driver!! Instead of going southeast, the driver took me northwest towards Dongguan! I realized this after an hour when I realized we were nowhere close to the border. Complete waste of time and money, all because the concierge person didnt understand what I had said, but claimed to have understood. - Breakfast - buffet breakfast (pretty decent spread) starts at 6am, but most of the stations are not stocked up till 7-7:30. Given the jetlag, I was famished and had been waiting for breakfast in the early hours of the morning. I was disappointed to see that most stations were empty when I got there. Next day I went at 7:30 and it was all stocked up, but the crowds were crazy! I stayed in the superior suite, breakfast and WiFi were both included. Room was large, clean, and well maintained. These are all minor issues that have an easy fix, but they made it less than a perfect experience for me. That being said, the hotel overall I kept in good condition, and the staff is willing to be of help. Probably wouldnt stay here again though - there are plenty of western chain hotels here now that provide a better experience, although this one is cheaper.

  Convenient all rounded hotel near international airport

  Great view, well equipped room and good breakfast facilities are a plus for this hotel. Wifi generally strong, need no passwords, and available throughout hotel. Airport is extremely efficient compared to almost all others i have visited. Not sure if holiday makers will like this location as it is at least 45 min from shopping area, ie, Dong men area.

  Really good stay but beware of the deposit holding on your credit card

  I was booked into this hotel by my supplier, efficient check in and a nice room was provided with all the amenities. Dinner and breakfast was of a high standard and would stay here again. On the downside I went to pay the bill they told me they should cancel the deposit of 1200 yuan and then re charge the card. What they didn't tell me was that the deposit remains held on the card for 20 days before it is released so be careful but all in all I would return

  Great stay

  We visited Shenzhen for business and our supplier suggested. It was central to all our meeting places! The rooms were very nice and clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful even with the lack of English speaking ! Great variety of breakfast! Will definitely be back for next visit!
