  Terrible experience

  Terrible experience, my boyfriend made a surprise vacation but...... Within the spa with a dead mouse on the floor. In the place where snacks are stored, so here you can find a mouse poison and poops. I mean mouse ok, that can be prob, but all the mouse staff with food altogether??? Come on... The room was average, poorly tidy with cobwebs, dirty toilet and stinky... The staff were not able to speak in English neither German. These were mostly Hungarian citizens, who were quite cheeky towards the guests. I have been in many 4 stars hotels and this one definitely does not deserve 4 stars :-D The location is perfect. So choose another hotel...

  Perfect getaway and great spa experience

  I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. In fact, throughout our stay I just continued to tell my husband that I love Das. Goldberg. Everything from our room to spa to meals was perfect. We booked the all-inclusive Advent in Gastein package in Tower Suite L (2 nights). It came with unlimited spa access, 3 meals daily and a number of gift/experience vouchers for the Advent Market in the village. Everything about our stay was wonderful: convenient and timely pick-up/drop-off at the train station (included in rate), comfortable, spotless room with real wood fireplace, sumptuous buffet breakfasts, buffet lunches (they call them snacks but they are full-on lunches with multiples salad bar, hot dishes a dessert items on offer) and plated dinners accompanied again by a salad bar. All of the food was absolutely delicious and service throughout the property was superb, very efficient but not overbearing. The spa is a delight and is kept spotlessly clean. Saunas are co-ed which may be uncomfortable for non-European guests, so that is something to be aware of when booking. The entire facility is top notch: 5 different saunas, heated indoor/outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub and multiple relaxation areas. Refreshments are provided in the spa area. Every guest gets a spa bag with essentials and there are amenities throughout the facility. Hotel is located on a ski hill with ski-in/out privileges. We did not ski however, so cannot comment on the experience. The Advent Package was great. We walked into the village on the day we checked out and spent the evening enjoying the market, trying the foods and beverages, got a couple of complimentary souvenirs and went on a horse carriage ride - all included as part of the package offered by Das Goldberg. It is pricy but I would not hesitate to return again an stay longer - any time of the year. The area is very nice and lots of small town and hiking trails to visit in the vicinity.

  A holiday to enjoy

  Das Goldberg is an amazing hotel. Best hotel Ive been at. Food is great, staff are nice and gratefull and the rooms are really clean and nice . You can hear train noise but it isnt that bad. The family who runs the hotel are all very nice and comitted. The Spa is really nice and you have beautifull views. It was a amazing holiday!

  Spectacular hotel for ski and Spa

  Stayed at DAS Goldberg with a group of friends for a ski / spa holiday . Perfect location with ski in/out access to the snow. Stylish comfortable rooms . The spa and relaxation areas are really fabulous . Gorgeous outdoor heated infinity pool with view over the Gastein Valley. The food is really good and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Highly recommended. Have stayed here in the summer a few years ago and will be back !

  Spa and Champagner

  Besides the usual positive (or negative) things I tend to write in reviews I have to mention something different first: the wine-selection is incredible for a hotel like this. Great Austrian wines (including some rare pieces) are followed by an amount of international top-wines and champagnes you hardly find anywhere else. Prices are very reasonable too. The rooms are beautiful designed and we were not missing anything, the view is absolutely stunning. Speaking of stunning... the infinity pool is priceless! In addition the whole spa area is absolutely top. We have been impressed! I would have rated the service at 4/5 but unfortunately a single member of the staff had some kind of a "lazy" attitude and poured the rest of the ordered wine (for several hundert euros) like it was a cheap bottle of coke and even spilled a bit of it, so i have to downgrade to a 3/5, although the others have been very very eager.
