Extremely welcoming staff, great service & foodWe stayed 3 nights at Hotel Moerisch for a romantic getaway. Upon arrival the check in procedure was extremely welcoming and set the tone for the coming days. The Moerisch family is very present, helpful and no job is too small for them. This example is emulated by their professional staff. Breakfast isnt the most extensive, however of the highest quality and everything one might expect at a hotel of this category is available. Possibly the highlight of each day is the 5-6 course dinner. It comes exceedingly close to fine dining and wines are good as well (around 5 for a small glass). The hotel surroundings are beautifully serene and inviting to bikers and hikers. The adjoining golf course is wonderfully laid out and offers splendid views of the lake, even though it might prove frustrating for beginners and high handicappers. The spa area offers a quiet room with comfy waterbeds, a slightly too small sauna area with 3 saunas and a steam bath and most impressively, a heated stainless steel indoor-outdoor pool with a jacuzzi at the outdoor end. Thanks to the team for wonderful days at a great package price!

Perfect Short TripWe stayed together with two friends for four nights at the Moerisch. The rooms were wonderful and we even got upgraded. The Spa landscape is very nice with differenct options to relax. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were so delicious we couldn't decide which was our favourite. All the personal was very friendly and they even helped us to find the optimal skiing regions depending on the weather and street conditions :) Altogether it was a perfect longer weekend trip and we look forward to our next stay there!

Definitely more then we expectedWe go to Austria every year for our skiing winter holidays and every year we try to choose the family run hotels but this time it is definitely much more then we expected. First of all contact with Sigi, the owner. Fast, precise email contact and booking process (we were booking directly) followed by quick check in when arrived. We were booked in 2 double rooms, well equipped big enough and very comfortable. What we are looking for while skiing is the spa area which is here much better and bigger then in other Austrian 3 or 4 star hotels we have visited. 4 different saunas, quiet relaxation rooms, indoor and outdoor pools offer really fantastic opportunity to relax and charge the battries when back from skiing slopes. My wife also tried the massages offered in wellness centre and she liked them very much. And then comes something outstanding - food and service. The food served here could compete with best restaurants not only in Austria. This fantastic food is professionally served, the guests are treated with great attention not only by waiters but the owners are here during every single meal looking after every single person in the restaurant. So summarising - perfect place for your winter sports but we will definitely go back in summer to see also "the other side" of the place perfectly located also for summer activities.

Perfect Short Trip with great Relax-FactorIt was an amazing Mini Vacation. The Area is quite and breathtaking. The Hotel is beautiful. Family Mörisch takes personally care of any needs and worries, and reads any wish from their guests eyes. The Hotel Staff - especially Mr. Markus - is very kind, open and has a good sense of Humor. The food is very delicious. The morning and evening Buffet has beautiful choices and everything tastes finger-licking-good. Main reason we chose this Hotel, was the Pool and we were not disappointed. It is a very relaxing lukewarm Pool. You can swim inside and outside, surrounded by an awesome view. If you find a place, there is a Jacuzzi outside at the end of the Pool. The Massages offered in the SPA Area are very professional and added to our well-being immensely. A note on the side: The Massages are very quickly booked out. Best would be to book Appointments for the Massages immediately at arriving. All in all a beautiful Hotel for an amazing Short Trip. The basic rooms are a bit small, old fashioned, with carpet and with little furniture. It is definitely advisable to take an upgrade to a slightly bigger Room. The bigger Rooms are just lovely. Wooden Floors, big wardrobe, Fridge and a lot of space. Sad to say, it is allowed for Guests to smoke on the Balcony and on the Veranda. This can mean for non-smokers to stay locked up and to enjoy the Mountain-Air, the Cappuccino or the Glass of Wine behind locked windows and doors. Personally we didn't enjoy the nudity in the Sauna Area. We felt very uncomfortable. Well...I guess it is a matter of taste. Or how they say: "Wer's mog...."

Birthday dinerThe scenery of the hotel is fascinating, the terrasse of the restaurant like in a movie (with George Clooney, who else?). Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't too great and the terrasse was exclusively for the hotel guests. We were seated behind the bar which to me feeled like we were stowed away. But this is really the only (positively) negative thing I can say. The staff was ever so friendly, the food was sublime, the wine superbe. I truly believe staying here gives you a little insight of what heaven is made of.
