Te quedas con ganas de volver.

Al lado de un aparcamiento larga estancia. Jardín muy acogedor. Súper la ubicación. La sala para desayunar con bonitas vistas. Superó nuestras espectativas. El pueblo es precioso. Seguro que volveremos.

    Staycation

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Darwins Townhouse. Great B&B situated a couple of minutes walk from the shops and bars. Darwins was very Covid safe with lots of measures in place, unfortunately due to Covid the lounge with the honesty bar was not in use. Small double room but that is what we chose, if I returned I would choose a bigger room. The 3 staff we met, Ellie, Tracey & Sam were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best we have had, cooked to order. Everyone should have a Tracey to serve them breakfast, she will brighten up your day.

Just what was needed, safe, cosy and considerate

We recently stayed for a couple of nights at Darwin's Townhouse. The accommodation is located by the River Severn in Shrewsbury with easy access from a nearby carpark and boasts a central location. The accommodation was COVID-19 secure. Important at this time. But, what more could you ask for in a UK staycation? Our room and en suite bathroom were spotlessly clean. Towels were fluffy and warmed by a heated rail. Our beds were extremely comfy with cotton bedlinen, comfy headboards and plump pillows. The rooms are all sensitively decorated with a lovely Darwinesque theme throughout. The communal areas are also decoratively interesting. Our room had proper water glasses - most welcome! Also great coffee and tea. We had come in wet from the rain on a couple of occasions and a nice cuppa for a quick warm up was just lovely. The breakfast is astoundingly good, Great menu from Full Shropshire cooked breakfast to fruit salad, yoghurt and pastries. The cooked breakfasts were cooked to perfection. The Townhouse has a lovely garden which would be fabulous in summer months. Being October we appreciated the garden from the well lit conservatory were breakfast was served. Both garden and conservatory give a light and airy feel to the property. The garden adds value should the weather be such that you might want to take a drink from the honesty bar and enjoy some evening birdsong. For Tracy and the staff nothing was too much trouble, we were looked after very well. Highly recommended.

Mum and Dads Wedding Anniversary weekend

Thank you so much to the staff at Darwins Townhouse for making my parents 50th wedding anniversary weekend so special. Rachel phoned me prior to our stay to explain the parking, places to eat and to offer my parents either a garden room or a different room as people are welcome to stay with dogs in the garden room. My mum has OCD, so instead the hotel arranged for them to stay in a lovely big room upstairs. The call was followed up by an email with all the details. So incredibly helpful. The decor in the hotel is absolutely wonderful and would delight any young children with all the model animals, fossils, etc on the main staircase. The single room I stayed in had some lovely touches, well stocked toiletries and a lovely clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with copious amounts of tea and lots of menu choices or you could opt for your own variation. My parents room was a very unusual octagonal room with a lovely fireplace, a dressing table and plenty of room. There was even a card for their wedding anniversary from the staff at the hotel, which was a really lovely touch. Rachel was there to greet us on our arrival and we were given a map of the town and an explanation of where to go as well as options for our breakfast slot. We had a lovely walk around the town but some sections of Shrewsbury town can involve a steep walk. The hotel is very close to the St Julian's Friars Car Park, which does charge. The hotel gave us the postcode for the car park and details of the charges. All in all this was a lovely and very personable hotel. The staff could not have been nicer and certainly looked after us before and during our stay. Id definitely stay there again.

    Weekend break

Stayed here for 2 nights was made to feel very welcome. All the staff were friendly and pleasant and nothing seemed to be of any trouble. The foyer was very well presented and clean creating a good first impression and the room we were in didnt disappoint either. The room and the on suite were very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable too. It was a very quiet hotel with a excellent location so would definitely use again and recommend again.
