  Good choice to stay at darwin City Edge Motel

  Large room and bathroom with kitchen fridge, stove, microwave, hot water jug and crockery etc. Aircon, TV and clock/alarm worked OK. No noise from other rooms. Darwin City Edge is central and in easy walking distance (or use public transport) to Darwin City and the waterfront, the Museum, Mindl Beach and Cullen Bay. I recommend joining the locals for food and the sunset at Cullen Bay beach. The ferries to Mandorah and the Tiwi Islands starts at Cullen Bay.

  Stayed four nights, was not to bad like all things you get what you pay for. It had great hot water in shower and pressure. The air cond was very noisy at times, the tv was a bit small and not a lot of channels and some didn't have sound. The bed was abit hard after four nights.

  The Pool

  Absolutely loved this place for 5 nights.Was basic with good sized solid rooms. We couldnt here our neighbors and the room was nice a quiet. We only used the room to sleep in as everything was basically a 10 minute walk away. Mitchell St, Mindle Beach and the Casino. The late afternoons were spent in the coolpool having a well earned drink. Met some friendly travelers. We would definitely stay again for the price Pros: Great BBQ pool area Kitchenette Mini private sitting area near grass Air con Good blackout blinds Good cold fridge Good strong pressure shower Clean Ok firm bed Cons: In 5 nights they didnt service our room once, however we got fresh towels from reception , no biggy.

  THERE IS BETTER FOR YOUR MONEY

  Could not recommend this place. The price is good as is the central location, but the rooms , even the 'refurbished' ones are not up to scratch. There are many better places to stay for the same price. Won't stay there again. Aside: If you do stay there, watch out for the bedside table with a glass top. I rolled over in my sleep and severely gashed by arm on the sharp corner of the glass top!

  Disgusting!

  My family booked 2x family suites and a smaller room to fit my family, one of the rooms had water everywhere so we were 'upgraded' to a smaller but nicer room what a lie that was! Pictures speak for there selves, shower was filled with black mould, curtains filthy, holes in the roof, cracks in the paint, just gross! And not only that the security locking chain was broken so we couldnt have a safe and secure room. We went to voice our concerns upon check out and the reception was closed, sent an email and was advised they would look into it and haven't heard back since.. the room was disgusting and my request for a refund is not unreasonable..
