  Welcoming & Hospitable hosts

  Arrived for a one night stay - two families in campers. Hosts were very welcoming and assisted us with parking our campers and also connecting power for us. Facilities were very clean, tidy and accessible for all. Great location, handy to skate park, looks like town pool and also shops. We realised on arrival our camper provider hadnt supplies linen (towels and sheets) the hosts were so kind and gifted us a number of towels so we could continue our journey. The hosts were amazing, so friendly, helpful and accommodating. They were very appreciative to be of service. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a warm and inviting stay

  Truly Kiwiana and we loved it.

  Hubby and I have been here a couple of times. Campground is clean and delightful. It takes us back to holidays in the 70s. But not quite... It now includes great breakfasts out and restaurant meals for dinner in Dargaville. A unique farming town. The restaurants are all something special. Thai, Indian, Chinese and home grown kiwi, with good latte's. Take a break here on your next travel experience. Camp has lots of beautiful trees with shade. Is relaxing, friendly and quiet. Short day trips galore. Wide ocean beaches and the beautiful kai iwi lakes.

  Immaculate and welcoming campground

  With an unexpected stop in Dargaville we found this lovely campground. Super helpful hosts, nice green surroundings and the perfect powered site for our campervan. Facilities incredibly clean and great for the kids.

  Decent accommodation, friendly staff

  We found this to be a pretty decent holiday park - nothing too flash but everything you'd expect for the price. The facilities were good, the staff were welcoming and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean functional.

  Can improve

  The WiFi (for which you have to pay) is bad. I've spent ages walking around to send messages, frustrating. The kitchen is not equipped, which is the case in several holiday parks but still always the lazy choice, and for those who backpack or travel without pans, bowls and so on, it simply means no cooking : it's not a hut in the mountains though, it's the same price to stay here in a tent, than under a roof in some hostels. You'd expect some standard. There was no hot water in the shower either. That being said, the staff was nice and kind, and the holiday park itself fairly lovely. If you already have all the comfort in your own vehicle, and money to spend, that may be a good choice.
