Smartbox with supplementI stayed at this Hotel in July 2017 and this is my experience: I received this smartbox as a gift and was so happy to visit Garda lake so made a reservation. During the telephone conversation for my reservation (approximately 40 days before) I was asked a supplement of 60 to cover the costs for a superior room because it was the last available. When I arrived at the reception for my check in, the personnel were not very friendly. I was assigned a room with windows on the access stairs to the floors, I went twice to the reception to change the room, then finally they gave me a different room but smaller. The restaurant had only a short period to dine, from 19,30 to 20,00 pm, the waiters were not very professional. When on the following morning I went to reception to pay for the supplement I tried to explain that the service had not been very good but the personnel at the desk was once again rude. To my amaze no-one ever offered any excuses for this poor treatment.

Great food and friendly staffThis was a very happy accident. We were planning to go further up the lake but we were exhausted and wanted to stop. Spotted this hotel right on the route in the village center. I popped in and the guy at the reception, who I found out later was half-Irish was very kind and said there was no issue even if it was way after 11pm. He showed me a nice room (pretty big for an obviously historic siting) and I took it right away. At that time of night there was no problem in getting a free parking spot just up the road and we just had a quick drink at their bar and fell into bed. Next morning breakfast was delicious with lots of home-made cakes and chatting with the same guy who met us the evening before, we decided we'd like to stay another night as it was prefect to use as a base for a boat trip which we wanted to do anyway. We spent the day going across the lake visiting some sites and got back late afternoon. The room had been cleaned and made up and surprise surprise nice and cool thanks to their automated AC. We took a shower in the bathroom which was obviously very newly renovated and had a drink downstairs while we waited for dinner. It was delicious - pasta which I think was home made and fresh lake fish. We headed north the next morning promising to come back another time for a longer stay.

ExcellentI would highly recommend this hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was all home made, it was 5 star food, presentation was excellent and the tastes were superb. The hotels rooms have recently been done up, very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect as on a local bus route to nearby towns. We can't thank the staff enough for making our stay so enjoyable. L & L Stuart

UTTERLY BRILLIANT(Hotel Danieli also offers Ristorante Orazia & Bar Luci)This charming and compact hotel/restaurant/bar is located in the heart of Castelletto di Brenzone and is simply superb. Whilst the pedantic might argue that the building is slightly odd shaped, or a little close to the road, these matters are overwhelmed by the fabulous experience brought about purely by the warmth of the family that run the Danieli: Antonella, Orazia & Luciano. The Danieli is a place of joy, great food, superb drinks and quiet attention to ones needs that make a stay a real treat. Ristorante Orazia Orazia is the supremely gifted chef and runs an open kitchen overlooking a small courtyard. Everything is made by hand, from the bread, to the pasta, to the jams tucked into little pots for breakfast. Beef is local, seafood is from the northern part of the Adriatic and the cheeses are from the local mountains. Above all Lake Garda provides many delicious fishy riches. Orazia takes all of these and creates amazing food with them. She even invited my wife and son to join her one day and showed them how to make pasta her way, build an amazing tiramisu, and bake wonderful grissini for pre-dinner nibbles. What a star. Bar Luci Luciano oversees Bar Luci and is himself a Mastro Coppiere - a master sommelier. Lucianos attention to detail and his expertise make every drink a wonder, whether it be a local Amarone, one of the worlds finest reds, or a gin & tonic crafted from his vast selection of gins and tonics. Whatever your tipple his skill will make it that little better than elsewhere. He is ably assisted by Lorenzo, the head waiter. Lorenzo adds a dimension that is difficult to put into words, but his sense of fun, matched by his professionalism, makes a visit to the restaurant & bar a true delight. His energy knows no bounds. Hotel Danieli Antonella manages the hotel and works tirelessly to ensure ones stay is perfect. Its always the little things that add the wow factor and Antonella is a font of local knowledge and willing to make the phonecall that secures a restaurant table or a great boat hire. The rooms that I have seen are all recently refurbished, large & modern with air-conditioning and high quality fittings. My room had a small balcony overlooking the village centre harbour and lake beyond. In the past Ive seen some negative reviews. I can only add my experience of all three facets of the Hotel Danieli, Ristorante Orazia and Bar Luci is entirely wonderful and I cannot thank the family enough for providing us with an exquisite three week holiday. We have already booked for 2021 and I commend others to do likewise.
