on holidaybooked in, seemed ok at first but discovered the owner lives in site and is an alcoholic, he scams guests. Here is a way he scammed me, The bed sheet had a small mark on it from a previous guest, so I cleaned it with warm water and soap, he claimed that the bed sheet was soiled, I said it was a small patch of water because I had cleaned it up which incidentally I should not have had to do. He insisted it was a stain and charged me 1000 peso for cleaning. They had my passport so I could not just walk out. So I paid the 1000 peso and departed. When you book in they insist on holding an ORIGINAL document like your passport and of course this is part of the scam. Then you can't get your passport back until you pay their scam charge. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL or you may be scammed. The hotel is up for sale and has been for a long time. The owner is an appalling man and hopefully he will sell the place and we can get a decent ordinary management team in there.

Just believe what they say on their website, "it's not a 5 star hotel"I knew the place was old going in but: I ask the guy who works the day shift (version of front desk) if possible can I get a room with WiFi. Cool I got a room with decent WiFi strength and it was down the hall from reception area which I thought would be good because I'm thinking my room and belongings would be safe since it is in the line of sight of the front desk area. Oh, I bet that was the room I was assigned before arriving because I think the back area are for the long term tenants and perhaps returning clients who have stayed there before. I was curious about the noise factor since the other side of the wall were parking spaces and the roadway. So I asked, he says yes, it is quiet. His eyes tell me differently. Well it did not take long and found out it is noisy during the day with trikes and cars going by and the worst part, one of the tenants was working on his car right on the other side of the wall where the bed is located. You can hear the engine running and shutting off, voices of people talking. Then every time a loud trike, car or truck goes by one of the park cars would sound its alarm. The room looked clean until I took off my shoes and walk around barefoot. The floors in some spots felt sticky. The two bath towels in the room smelled like old rotten mangoes. That's the only way I can describe that smell. I had my own towels but still I took the towels across the street with my laundry and had it wash at the laundry shop. And it came back with the scent of mangoes. Not as strong as before with that rotten smell but never the less it had the scent of mangoes. May be there is a fabric softener that smells like mangoes. There are a few more things to say but I will leave it as is. The only option for a restaurant is next door at the VFW post. The food is good, priced high for the PI, large portions of food but the service greatly needs improvement, well like most of the places in the PI. There some street food vendors nearby but at night after the VFW closes no place to eat. You need to travel unless you walk over to 7-11 and find something to hold you over for a few hours. And I did not have a ref in my room. I had book a room for a week looking for a monthly to stay at until I can find permanent housing. I left on the afternoon of the 6th day. I'm a solo traveler looking for permanent housing and have been hotel hopping in the 5 plus weeks since I arrive, a week here, 8 days here, 12 days here, looking for a monthly until I can find a house. I've finally found a monthly and it is a nightmare.

OwnerThe man is a alcoholic and a despot. Everyone at this hotel didn't have a good word to say about him. looking to scam you for money. My room had been entered at least twice without my permission. Asked the desk attendant what was going on and is reply was the boss of the hotel insists that we enter every room on a daily basis to make sure the guest are not smoking.found to be smoking in room will be penalised 1000p If it was a different country without corruption I would have called the police. Great place to stayWe were just passing through and needed a place to stop, and this place was perfect. The owner is very friendly and helpful, he even gives you a free beer upon arrival. He helped us to rent a scooter, and went as far as to lend us one of his helmets as the guy only dropped one off. The hotel itself is comfortable, they have a nice clean pool and a communal kitchen next to the pool where you can prepare meals.

Enjoyable place to staySpecial thanks to Darwin (front desk) who made our stay enjoyable. Nice room, and clean. Close to the SM mall and transportation. Good restaurants in walking distance. Air condition and ceilings kept us comfortable through out the day and evenings.
