    Nice, average

We stayed here for a few days. It was clean, ok size of room and shower. The a.c. didn't work, so opened windows, which was quite noisy. The staff for breakfast were friendly and cute older couple. Decent hotel

Best hotel in our 11 night stay in Italy

Hotel Daniel is on a busy road in Parma but they have an intricate and effective automated blinds system in the rooms. Our room faced the street but we slept in one day until 9:30! I thought it was 6 a.m. Modern rooms with a gleaming bathroom and generously large shower. Excellent breakfast in the Ristorante Cocchi that is in the hotel (see my review). Several types of ham, cheese to slice, yogurt cereal and a lovely pastry cake to slice from every day. Coffee served to order (we ordered Cafe Americano which came in a large pitcher! hurray!) Housekeeping and front desk friendly and kept the rooms beautifully.

    Extremely Poor Reception/Service

Although this hotel is walking distance from the centre, has ok rooms and is quiet at night, I would advise avoiding this hotel for the lack of simple manners/kindness by reception and management staff. A real let down in a country of such wonderful welcome and kindness. On arrival our passports and car keys were taken with no explanation. Only after asking for passports back a few hours later were they returned with some mumbles about a terrorism law. It felt weird to give personal documentation over to a stranger for so long with no reasoning. Car keys were taken and kept for our whole stay and our car moved from one hotel bay to another with no request or reasoning. It took quite a bit of asking to get any advice or directions let alone a smile or a Biongorno. When asking about making a reservation in the restaurant we were told not to bother as it is full. We were misdirected to another restaurant 2 minutes from the hotel. Although we struggled in with luggage, kids etc. after a fairly long drive there were no offers of help or assistance. In fact everyone just looked the other way. This hotel has the worst and most unfriendly customer service weve ever encountered. Perhaps they believe their own press about their rather snobby on site restaurant and the boiled meats they show off about. Forget boiled meats and say hello! However, the antithesis is La Brace restaurant just around the corner which is wonderful, warm, genuinely Italian. As is Parma - lovely city and welcoming people. Just find somewhere else to stay as the management here seem to think you owe them a favour for staying there. Very untypical of Italy.

    very good accommodation

Ideally situated just outside the historic centre ring, so you can easily find a parking space, if exploring the region, and be only 10 minutes walk from centre, this hotel offers very good accommodation. The rooms are totally refurbished, the staff is helpful, and the breakfast, while not sumptuous, is very tasty and with local flavor. Add the excellent restaurant nestled at its ground floor, and you have an unbeatable combination.
