  You must bring your ear plugs due to aircon in other rooms

  The aircon outlet units belonging to each room are located immediately next to the window of the person above. This means that although you do not have your aircon on, if the person below you has his on, you will be disturbed by the sound of the outlet located on the outside which will be just next to your window. Not only was my neighbour's humming away persistently all through the night, but it also caused my window to oscillate very loudly at one point so much it woke me up - despite wearing ear plugs! My fellow traveller first volunteered-without me mentioning my experience - the next day that the aircon was rather loud yet he was located on the other side of the floor. So there are two independent opinions for you. This is the reason for the two stars. When you get robbed of your sleep in a hotel, this is inexcusable as far as I am concerned.

  Not for more than a few days if no choice

  Due to the annual agricultural show going on I had no choice but to take any hotel I could find and because of the show, rates were inflated, so at the time of stay not good value at all. Though this hotel is located downtown it is a taxi ride from any restaurants. It's an average hotel and in need of modernisation. I had a room on the 8th floor so traffic noise was more minimal but that was probably due to the fact the air conditioning unit drowning out any traffic noise! Like the hotel the rooms have seen better days and wasn't something to look forward to returning to after a long day at work. I'm not sure if it's because I had an adjoining door but the walls are quite thin. As in most hotels here it had an adequately stocked fridge and not over priced. Bathroom facilities were adequate and clean - although with dark tiling this was difficult to be so sure. Only English station consisted of the repetitive CNN. Internet was free and fast enough throughout the hotel. Breakfast was the usual fare but a little below the standard to my previous hotel here. Reception staff were friendly with a couple speaking English. The lifts were very slow but that may have been due to the hotel being full . Ribeirao shopping mall is about a 10-15 min drive and costs approx BR 20. Overall adequate for a day or two but there are better options.

  Good for a layover

  The hotel looks a bit old but is reasonable clean and comfortable. For a layover this will be a good hotel. It's located by the downtown and you can walk to the "mercadão" and buy and experience some local food, but as any big city while walking around be careful with your valuables.

  Functional and comfortable

  Funcional hotel located on the heart of Riberao Preto the hotel is old but good maintained is located in a nice area close to pubs restaurant and bars . Nice breakfast served e ver morning good and huge rooms

  Old Hotel

  This hotel needs refurbishing. Everything is very old. The room, the matress, the bathroom and mostly the air conditioner. It is noisy and does not work properly. The breakfast is good, but the personel is slow to clean up the tables. Well located in the city center, but there is better places with the same price.
