  Beautiful boutique resort just a short taxi ride from Lahr train station. Has about 30 rooms in a wooded setting with small lake. You can rent little row boats or just relax at little spots around the lake. Had a hot dinner served with great beer brewed on premise. The deserts are also sinfull. Nice place to relax and spend an afternoon with friends.

  What a Beautiful Place! And Great Beer Too!

  Came here for dinner based on a recommendation from a friend. Did not stay at the hotel so my review is based on the restaurant and brewhaus. What an amazing place! We took a taxi from the train station (use the S-car taxi and it will only be 6 euros), and upon arrival were welcomed by a long driveway opening up to a piece of paradise in Lahr! There is a guest house, beautiful flowers, and several outdoor seating areas to enjoy a beverage or a meal, as well as tables and chairs near the lake. There are peacocks roaming the property and they do want to get a taste of your food! The owner is very proud of his establishment and the master brewer makes really great Helles and Wheat beers and also speaks English very well and provides service with a smile! They also have wine and schnapps. I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel for dinner. There were two huge portions along with french fries. I ended up taking half of it to go. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine of Lahr with friends. This is a must do if you're looking for an out of the way place approximately 20 minutes by train from Baden Baden with one transfer.

  Good, clean hotel

  Stayed in this hotel on recent business trip. Being winter, there was not many guests staying. The room itself was a good size with en suite facilities which were clean. The hotel is not luxury, but for the price point it is good. Breakfast had a selection of hot and cold options and the lady hosting each day was friendly. Overall , pleasant stay. Could have done with options in room or at bar to have some cold drinks ( cans coke / juice ) only options were to have coke off pump at bar, no juice options for takeaway .

  Tomando algo en la terraza

  Estuvimos tomando algo junto al lago y disfrutando del frescor de la sombra mientras patos y tortugas nadaban alegremente. Lo cierto es que es un lugar precioso y lleno de encanto por el que merece la pena darse un paseo

  Very clean and friendly. Staff was very attentive. Daughter had chicken which was cooked to perfection, husband and I had the ribs. Sauce on the side, which made it very easy to add a lot or a little. Father-in-law had pork medallions. Enjoyed all. Had cappuccino on the patio. Nice and peaceful.
