  Normal hotel near the beach

  Location was good, near the beach,also a little market near. Area was calm. Breakfast was a little disappointing, but it was eatable. The bed was so hard that it was hard to sleep. The building was quite old, seemed from 70s.

  Lovely room, amazing Baltic sunset!

  During my overnight visit to Jurmala, I stayed at Daina Jurmala Beach Hotel & SPA. It is located in a quiet part of Melluzi, Jurmala. It is just a stones throw away from the shores of the Gulf of Riga. Also, the train station is a good 5-minute walk and is a 10-minute drive to the center of the city. All rooms have a cable TV, a work desk and a private bathroom with free toiletries. WiFi is available. The room I had has a balcony. Other amenities they provide include a sauna, massage rooms, and an array of sports and leisure activities. But the best part of my stay at Daina is their super sumptuous selection of food during breakfast!

  Saved By the SPA

  I try to see the positive in all situations but this was quite the exception. Hotel is ok (in a very loose sense). Rooms and cleaniness were a matter better left undiscussed. Asked for a new pair of sheets at 9:00 am. Came back to the hotel at 7 pm and room service still hasnt attended. Asked second time, still nothing so eventually i took sheets from reception and changed them myself. Breakfast was... lets just say we ended up with oats and jam. However, it is worth a visit just for that 25ft swimming pool ! Oh yes! 25 ft of pool, jaccuzzi, steam bath and sauna. Ended up spending two days in the spa, rather than bedroom... Room - 4/10 Clean - 3/10 Service 3/10 Breakfast 0/10 SPA 10/10 Pool 10/10

  Not worth the money

  We stayed here for 2 nights but the place is not worth the price. The so-called "SPA" was one big pool and the water was pretty cold. There also were 2 jacuzzis that were way too small for the number of people that were at the SPA. The 2 saunas were the only good thing in the SPA (but still too small for that many people). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (room was cleaned after the first night). The only annoying thing was the TV that had only german channels. The shower was clean and overall the bathroom was gorgeous. The elevators are terrifying, they drop so fast, you might get a heart attack. Breakfast was terrible. The food was almost cold, there weren't any fruit or fresh juice. The only food that was somewhat edible was crepes. The coffee was also good. Overall I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this, it's not worth it. Maybe in the summer, you can justify the price because it's close to the sea. But I still think that there are way better options out there (newer buildings and better price to quality ratio).

  Great location

  This hotel is located close to the Baltic bay beach, it was recently renovated, has swimming pool, sauna, bar, in very silent place. good starting point to travel in jurmala, resort city along the bay.
