Good Resort with nice rooms and facilitiesRoom is Korean style with both beds and Japanese sleeping mat. My room is a family room with plenty of room for the kid to play around. There is a balcony and good for photo taking as mine is facing ski courses. We watched people skiing at night, but it was only -5°C outside, actually cant stay outside for long. The Resort provides a lot of things to do, e.g. kid playground, kart racing, warm water waterpark, table tennis, etc. Overall a nice stay during Christmas.

Nice Resort, remember to bring your own bath towelThe hotel is part of the ski package hence we did not make any efforts to research what hotel we are going to stay. The room is spacious, clean and feels welcoming. The underfloor heating is heating up the room a bit too hot for our liking but this can be easily fixed by opening the door to the balcony slightly to let the fresh air in. The hotel only provides facial towels rather than the usual bath towels. That is a bit tricky for someone like me who prefers bath towels. A quick call to the front desk will get you one extra set of towels to dry you off. There will be a charge for any additional towel after the first extra set. The underground shopping and entertainment centre is a great place to go after skiing. The supermarket has nearly everything needed and you can even prepare a full meal in the hotel room with food brought there. There is no bath towel for sale thought. The water park on site is small as part of it is closed during winter. We did enjoy swimming outdoors in -7c. All in all, nice stay.

Very convenient resort and excellent Snowyland facilitiesSki Resort itself - We chose Vivaldi Ski Resort primarily because (a) it was one of the closest to Seoul and we had small children with us so we did not want them to take long road trips; (b) it had Snowyland, and the trip was really for the children to experience snow (even if it was man made snow) for the first time and to really enjoy this experience with children-focused snow activities. Snowyland and the ski slopes did not disappoint!!! The kids had so much fun. Only problem was that since it was peak season, the lines for the sledding rides, slopes, etc. were a bit long. But we went twice to Snowyland, the first time was in the evening. That was a good idea, although a bit too cold, because there were hardly any lines anymore near closing time and the kids really got to maximize all the rides. Rooms - We opted for the Oak Suite as we were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids, and the Oak Suite had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was very spacious. Our only complaint would be the lack of bath towels. They literally only had face towels for guest use. Food/Market - The ski resort is really the most convenient that I've seen so far, as the restaurants/food choices are just all one set of stairs/escalator down away. The food court was excellent and the supermarket was small, but more than sufficient for the short stay we had.

Worst night of sleep in my lifeThe area around the hotel has a lot to offer so it's too bad how terrible the actual hotel room was. The main problem was my room was 87 degrees (30.6 Celsius). When my wife called to say our thermostat was broken, the front desk said it was central heating so the only thing to do was to open the windows. Well one bedroom didn't have any windows. It ended up being so hot my son overheated and threw up all over the bed in his sleep. The master bedroom had a window that could open about 3 inches, which didn't help. Even the living room with the sliding door wide open never got below 80 degrees. Then with the window open there was the noise from the snow machines and traffic. The windows did a good job blocking out the sound so if you can ever go when the interior of the room is not 15 degrees hotter than it should be, perhaps I'd recommend it. Although maybe not. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sheet was a scratchy flat sheet draped over a bare mattress. Really, that's it. Between the heat and the noise, I slept for less than 3 or 4 hours. By the way there are no blackout curtains either. Sun is up bright and early. There were also soaking wet towels on the counter when we checked in (and by the way the hotel doesn't come with bath towels, which luckily I had read on TripAdvisor ahead of time). Again it's too bad because ocean world was fun (10k won if you went to ski world the same day) and so was skiing (hotel did give a great coupon for this). There's a lot to do all around the resort. You could spend a week and never be bored, and that's why I give it two stars instead of one. Just sleep elsewhere.

Big room and ski park is just opposite the roadFIrst trip to the ski park. Room is big for 2 pax and towel is very small. Basically is like a hand towel so remember to bring your own towel. As we came from Myeongdong around 8am by the vivaldi park tour bus , we reached before 10am. Check in time is 12noon and lucky the hotel allow us to place our luggage in the room though housekeeping was not yet done. Transport back to seoul there are only 2 timing one is 1330hr and 1800hr. remember to make arrange for your transport back to seoul . So if you have checked out the room either you place your luggage in locker or walk around with it. Having fun with ski and it was not too crowded in the ski area.
