  Still great

  This is our second stay here at Daelim Residence and it certainly did not disappoint us. We were welcomed warmly by Mr. Jiang. The room was very clean and the service was great. We were even sent off with Korean hospitality. We'll surely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Seoul.

  Feels like Home

  It is a condo-like hotel with full amenities as commonly posted by previous reviewers. What is worth mentioning again are the small personal touch of the management like a daily breakfast pouch consisting of a fruit, juice and bread, the serve yourself coffee, hot choco and filtered water, and the warm reception of all staff including the owner, Mr. Jang. Do not worry about the location since the impressive Seoul subway will get you anywhere fast and convenient. Explore what the hotel location can offer like local eateries, street foods, to go counters (chicken, BBQ, noodles) fruit stands, mini supermarkets and a nice neighborhood mall (AK Plaza). Travelling with my family, I enjoyed most the family bonding while cooking breakfast inside the room and complemented with the free drinks, fruits and bread the hotel provided. At night, we buy to-go food nearby and have dinner in the room, just like home. Before calling it a day, you can have a drink in the enclosed balcony which also serves as an extra bed for the family room. While the building is quite old, the owner has kept it immaculately clean, functional, secured and ultra modern. There are cctv cameras, motion detector lights and automatic security locks everywhere. Where can you find a hotel that provides bicycle, grocery cart, etc. to guests? An email from Mr. Jang detailing how to get to his place, a personalized welcome sign in your room door, coins to call him if you are lost, and a token gift upon check-out. Small things that makes this hotel FIVE STAR.

  Nice Studio in Seoul

  My husband and I stayed at the Daelim Residence in Seoul for seven nights the third week in May 2019. We were greeted by a very nice man who showed us the studio apartment. He gave us everything we needed for our stay. Pros: The studio was very clean. Had everything we needed for self-catering. There was a PC in the room so we could watch Netflix. The Wi-Fi worked well. The bed was comfortable. Close to several restaurants and stores. There was a supermarket a few blocks from the apartment. Cons: You could not flush the toilet paper. When taking a shower, water got all over the bathroom floor. If we go back to Seoul, we would stay at the Daelim Residence again.

  Great hotel with lots of additions

  My family stayed in this hotel for slightly over a week. I chose this hotel for location and amenities including washing machine. Location is actually pretty good. It's about 100 meters from airport limousine bus stop and guro station which has access to complex Seoul metro system. Bus stops are also nearby. This hotel is no way near 5 start hotel with fancy pillow and beautiful tub. However, this place has everything necessary for long term stay. All amenities are very thoughtfully prepared. Room has nice bed with thick blankets (for winter). There's small kitchen with table and utensil, pot, burner etc. Each floor has coffee dispenser as well as filtered water dispenser. My room had internet as well as computer. It also vanity set with mirror. There's dryer as well. Cable TV has Korean local channel as well as English and other language channels. Hotel has tight security with cameras in each floor. Door doesn't open with key or password. There's manager on premise so help is available whenever needed. This hotel is practically one of the best hotel I stayed with all amenities. For all the convenience this hotel provides, my family stayed comfortably and will come visit again for sure.

  One of the best out there

  First of all, the location of the hotel is good. It is located around 100 meters from Guro Station. From Guro Station, we can reach Seoul Station in 20 minutes. Plus, there are a few shopping malls around the place, so staying in Daelim Resindence is convenient, and it is easy to move around Seoul. The room that we stayed was big, equipped with heater, air-conditioner, flatscreen tv with hundreds of internet programmes, cooking facilities including a microwave, utensils, dish and cloth washing area, fridge, water heater, desktop computer,... A free hot and cold water dispenser, and a chocolate and coffee maker were available at lobby area on each floor. So, this place provided almost everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. We were welcomed by the manager, Mr. Chang. He was very helpful and tried his best to explain almost everything to us. He gave us his phone number for us to call in case of emergency. One additional information- the residence had a small entrance behind a Chinese Restaurant. But the room was what we wanted for a good stay in Seoul.
