Lovely hotel, sublime locationWell priced, light and airy hotel with large rooms and wonderful views out of every window. The staff are excellent, friendly and accommodating. We dined there on both evening and the food was delicious, and the same can be said of breakfast. The gnocchi and homemade yoghurt desert a special mention. It is ideally situated for some great hiking and beautiful Lake Ledro is close by. Will definitely return!

Delivered on promises & exceeded expectationsMy boyfriend and I visited Hotel Elda in July 2018 for a 5 night stay and would recommend it to anyone who would like either a purely relaxation holiday or if you would like a quiet base to come back to after exploring Lake Garda. As it is quite remote you will need to hire a car to get there from the airport and to explore. As it is more popular with those in mainland Europe, we found ourselves being the only English guests which was rather nice! Room: The room was large with a comfortable double bed, good pillows and a decent duvet. Plenty of towels and good quality towels too. Toiletries provided on first day but not replenished so bring your own too if you think you will need it. The shower cubicle is completely glass which is unusual and rather entertaining to watch your other half in the shower! The only negative would be that there isn't aircon so you will need the window/door open to let fresh air in to cool down the room. As it is so remote, noise was not an issue although there are church bells in the distance. Definitely opt for a room with a balcony to enjoy the views - as you're near the mountains sometimes it can be too cloudy to sit by the pool but it is still nice to be outside reading a good book in the comfort of your own space. Food: Amazing! I am gluten free and did not need to remind them throughout my stay which is really refreshing. The evening menu (if you opt for half board) is 4 courses (you do not have a choice) and the menu is put out at the front desk in case you wish to change a dish. If you are open to trying new food and enjoy good quality food, you will enjoy the dinners here. Most ingredients come from their own gardens or locally. I am a foodie and was very impressed with the quality and my dietary needs were catered for perfectly. The menu is put on the table in your home language at dinner along with your room number so you know where to sit and what you are eating. Breakfast again was great and laid out as a buffet that included homemade yogurt and jam. Wine: There is a wine bar at the hotel, although small and not manned all the time, they are happy to serve you when you wish and have a range of cocktails, local beers and wines. There is a wine menu at dinner and you can choose bottles or half bottles of local wine - this is in Italian so if you are a wine buff you way want to download a translator app so you can read about the wine! They range in price however you can order a glass or carafe of local red or white wine which is very tasty. This is not listed in the wine menu and would have probably saved us money if we had known! They have locally brewed beers also (which I can't have) but my boyfriend enjoyed them! Service: Friendly, family run hotel with a relaxed, hands off approach which really suited us. If we needed anything they were more than happy to help and very attentive and helpful. Location: There is one bar a one minute walk away from the hotel which is very local (they don't speak fluent English as you might expect). You can borrow mountain bikes for free and go for a cycle down to and around Lake Ledro which we did one day. I am not a cyclist and although some of the journey was up-hill, I managed to make it! It is about 1.5 - 2 hours (depending on traffic) drive from Vernoa airport and in 5 days we managed to visit towns around Lake Garda including Riva Del Garda, Limone, Malcesine, Garda, Bardolino, Salo, and Sirmione. Time travelling to different towns varied from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the distance to each.

Quiet ExcellenceElda is a special place situated in the Concei Valley above Ledro. The Eco Hotel merges into its surroundings. The staff are both friendly, helpful and considerate. It is a family-run business: from the baking of fresh bread to the manning of reception. From the hotel there are many outdoor activities: hill walking, mountain biking and swimming either in the hotel pool or the nearby Lago di Ledro (one of Italys cleanest lakes). The breakfast is excellent. The hotel is modern: a bar, restaurant and hang out spaces overlooking mountains. Worth a visit to take you away to the heart of tranquility.

Lovely hotel, beautiful surroundings, great food!Staff is super friendly! Since I'm a celiac (gluten intolerant) food is always a thing. From day 1 they were super friendly and well equipped to handle my special diets, from making completely different courses then the menu of the day (big tip btw :-)!), to baking special cakes and granola for breakfast. Rooms were great, clean, good beds nice facilities good temperature. And the surroundings are stunning. Not to crowded as the Garda valley but easy to reach for those wanting to visit Lago di Garda. All in all 10/10!

A wonderful location ... hotel, restaurant and the environment itselfWe selected the elda as we were looking for a calm place with "a little bit of spa", "a lot of mountains" for biking and hiking, a clear statement towards the protection of nature and the environment as well as a very friendly place to be! If you search for this combination a lot of hotels and resorts will raise the hand and you need some luck to find the right one. We had luck! ;-) A very warm welcome by a family which likes to run a hotel / restaurant, very friendly employees and a nice location with a big room, a very good restaurant, spa, pool , and free storage room for our bikes were the "outcome"! You are close enough to just have a short trip to the lago di garda but you are far away enough to at least see close to no tourists while exploring the vale di ledro and vale di concei (the valley in which the hotel is located). We were there in the cw19 2019 and had a wonderful time. We will be there next year again as the combination of Nature, people, hotel, restaurant, and May as "the" month of spring is unbeatable
