The best view of Hanoi.I have been to Hanoi last December. The traveling was for 15 people from Thailand when I came to here, I was so surprise. The hotel area's so better cause side of a small Hanoi river. I have got a reservation for 1 people from Thailand then I reached, I got a largest room. Inside has a living room and kicthen. So Breakfast was good also.

CWD is a diveWe stayed at CWD for 2 nights. The photos looked very good but they did not live up to expectations. The place was a dive right from the get go. It was difficult at first to determine if it was actually a hotel or a business. We didn't get any help with out bags on arrival and we found it very difficult to talk with the reception staff about our booking. The room was alright for the price but a bit beaten up. The bed was hard and we woke up sore in the morning. WiFi is very poor in the hotel and bedrooms. The TV works okay. The pool was a dive! The glass doors to the pool were cracked and falling apart. The pool was out of action as they were sanding the roof. I am very surprised that they were doing this work during their peak season. We were going to leave after the first night as we were really unhappy with the hotel however we decided to carry on with our booking. I was pretty shocked to find out that I needed to pay to use the gym. Overall we had a very poor experience at this hotel and wouldn't stay here again.

Decent facilities, poor reception staffThe facilities are nice enough, great views of hanoi from the top floors. The cleaners and servers at breakfast were friendly however when I got locked out of my room a man at reception said he would open my room for $100usd, thats more than what it costs to stay there one night. After I refused several times he then said he would contact room service to open the door. A crap end to an otherwise okay stay.

Visited July 2015 (late review)I like this hotel because their male receptionists were very helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet is fine. The only thing I find unusual is to find food at dinner time as it seems they don't serve dinner but am not sure because I didn't bother to ask. The location was confusing at the first time I arrived but since Vietnamese people are so helpful and with the lady I met on the plane who took care of me well I felt welcomed. I love my Hanoi travel experience all in all. The hotel room is clean and has a nice view of the lake and the people around the community here are so willing to help! I liked my stay here because I feel safe and taken cared of by the very nice gentleman staff at the reception. Thank you CWD and staff!

Old facilities, paid for swimming poolBascially, the hotel is so so. Staff is okay, not totally friendly but still good. The room is a little old. Swimming pool is inside but not free for people living there. The food is nice, both Vietnamese and western cuisine
