One night in SydneyWhat a great place! Friendly helpful staff, very clean and comfortable. My first time in a B&B but will certainly do it again. Breakfast was included at a reasonable price for the room. Free WiFi Very nice

i am sorry but this is the worst score i have ever giveni am a really easy going person and never rate anything this low but tonight really a disappointment. I feel offended and also scared. Me and my partner are on a business trip and my partner is going overseas on Sunday early morning, 8am. we booked one place for one night and 2 nights in this place before the trip. today is our 2 year old birthday party and it finished late, also the grandma wants a rest, so we decided to take to 2yo with us. i did contact the place that i will be late checkin about 1 hour. but at that time of calling the hotel the decision of the kid coming with us hasn't been made, when we finally got to the place, the owner was there on site and actually living right next to our room. there is one guest room downstairs and 4 upstairs. we are the only guests downstairs. the owner firstly told us to leave, because we didn't let him know there is another child coming. i explained the situation but no help. he then charged us for 20 dollars extra for the 2yo kid, normally, kid comes for free at most of the hotels, but we were fine with the extra, i paid for it. but then after a while, he was knocking on the door again, telling us the kid is too noisy and if he is making any more noise, we need to go. the time was 11pm at night. and then he gave us a number to ring for hotels.com because we booked through there, and asked us to contact them to organize accommodation for tomorrow night. because he doesn't accept kids. twice knocking on the door and cold face, cold words, and asked us to leave at midnight even after charging the extra, and the important thing is, how noise can a 2yo kid at night be, my little one is quiet and only because we got to the property at 9 and had the owner kept knocking on the door, he couldn't sleep.otherwise, he is not making any noise, only the normal adults talking voice, even quieter than the dog barking on the opposite of the house. i was really upset and feel threatened, this is not the way when you pay for your accommodation and you didn't do anything else wrong but bringing a child.if this place is not kid welcomed, please label it in the description, however, i checked the description again, and even the listing on one of the china's popular travel booking site, all said, kids welcoming, etc. i didn't feel welcomed at all. even i didn't give any notice. i did pay for the extra of 20 dollars. and we were asked to leave for 3 times. oh my god. i am a gold member of the hotels.com, i think this justifies that we do travel a lot and have good records. otherwise we would be excluded from the travel booking if we always have negative feedback. but this time. i really feel disgusting, the place is good, not hotel like clean but it is ok. it is just i feel being threatened and really upset with this kind of the accommodation. i will never book this sort of accommodation again to risk being throwing on the street at midnight! oh, and we had to book for tomorrow night, and because it is sydney, and booking within 24 hours is so difficult. and guess what. we paid 300 dollars for tomorrow night, but it is a 4.5 star hotel not a guest house. thank god. i will NEVER stay at this kind of place again. and please, if you are with a kid, do not stay here. you kid will be scared. because the owner doesn't like kid! and, you need to be extremely quiet like you are under watched all the time by the owner. like you are supervised by an adult

An Average experience with a Disappointing ending..I stayed at this accommodation just over the weekend in mid June 2017. The accommodation was clean and presentable, but nothing impressive. My first night the heating was on far too strong, and I woke up several times not being able to breath as it felt like I was in a sauna. I had to open the window in the middle of the night to be able to go back to sleep as there was no remote or device in my room to try and change it. The next morning I spoke to the staff member downstairs about it and she showed me how to adjust it from the main central system at the top of the stairs. It would have been good to have been told this information before I arrived, as there was no staff when I arrived on the Friday night as it was after 7pm. The sound does travel quite easily from downstairs to upstairs and from room to room, people talking downstairs, guests coming in or out or people coughing, or a baby crying in neighbouring rooms can all be heard. And although it wasn't a big issue it is important to be aware of that before booking a room here. The other thing to note is that my room was right in front of a large soccer stadium, where matches with referees talking into microphones, and athletes making noise calling out while playing sport was something I had to listen to til about 9pm as they had the lights on the field for their night games. I was out during the days of the weekend, but in the evening I just turned the TV louder to drown out the noise from the soccer games that were on. The soccer games also are on in the mornings on weekends too, and luckily I was up early and going out so I didn't have to worry about that too much. I am not sure of people in other rooms noticed this, but my room was affected by this due to where it was positioned upstairs. Lastly, although the two staff I met seemed friendly enough, one was a lady in the office and a younger girl that cooks the breakfast, I am not sure all staff there are the most honest type of people, eg. Cleaners. I realised when I got to the airport on the Sunday night that I had left my phone charger in my room as I knew I had forgot to pack it, and I called and left a message. I then sent an email today and then called again and spoke to the woman in the office. She said to me since I have left yesterday there has been a cleaner that went in the room and she has also been in the room but no charger was found. I did leave the room unlocked when I departed as I left with all my bags packed etc and no possessions left in there (except for the phone charger I later realised), so unless a guest went in to the room and snooped around and took it, (which is possible but I think less likely), it seems a mystery where the charger disappeared to. I don't want to blame anyone as I don't have proof, but since there has been no new guests yet to stay in my room since I left yesterday, as the lady confirmed with me today, I can only think that the cleaner has possibly lied about taking it, unless it was another guest who decided to look through a vacant room. When I unpacked my belongings today after arriving home after my flight I looked to see if maybe I did pack the charger and accidentally forgot I packed it, but it was not in my bags and I knew I had left it there as I know I forgot to take it out of the wall socket in the morning I left, (yesterday.) The lady in the office I have spoken to about this said it is strange and she is unsure what could have happened, and she has offered to post me another charger she has in her lost/found box. This was a nice gesture I appreciate, and I told her I would be happy for her to post it to me, but this does not change the fact that I am suspicious of who actually took it and what happened and therefore was a disappointing ending to my stay. I wouldn't stay here again. Thanks.

Unexpected luxuryMy husband and I found ourselves having to unexpectedly stay over in Sydney, (we are from the mid north coast). We need good affordable accommodation. We found the place easy to find. The room very nicely decorated. It was clean fresh and very inviting. It had shared bathroom and shared septuplets that was also very clean and stocked with everything that a stranded traveler may need. I was surprised to find a comfy warm robe in the closet to slip into after enjoying a lovely hot shower. I'm yet to experience the breakfast in the morning but have no doubt it will be something to look forward to. I rate it 10/10

Comfortable and friendlyA bit of a hike to get to. They had moved us to another house they own without telling us. so we had to walk to their other property which made me a bit cross. Once I settled in I had a pleasant stay as the property looks over the sports grounds where my child was playing. Very cute cats.
