Painfully NoisyI booked this accomodation recently and the noise level from the family that owns the Motor Inn was out of control - every single day. Their kids running up and down the outside rooms and never ending constant screaming from the children above my unit - every day. The owners do not see this a problem for their guests however it would be the last time I would visit or recommend this Motor Inn - no matter how cheap it was. If you are looking for a quiet stay : this is NOT the place for you.

AverageTypical motel room. Good facilities avaliable (tea/coffee). Definitley older style. Bed was average. Good for a quicker overnighter business trip but I wouldnt stay any longer than that or for a holiday. Great location though, right near main shops.

Unclean shower, broken bathroom door, broken glass, noisy staff and guestsWe stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. The staff was okay, and the room seemed alright at first, with old furniture, but it appeared clean. Then I looked in the shower - EW!!! There were pubic hairs on the floor of the shower, and the drain was clogged with long hair - I had to clean the drain just to use the shower! The sliding bathroom door was NOT on its rails, so we had to lift the door to move it. The toilet was recessed in a narrow alcove making it hard to use, especially as how we are disabled. The taps in the bathroom basin were almost coming off and wouldn't turn off the water completely. I found shards of broken glass next to the door mat, and a maintenance worker walking past our door spat loudly onto the walkway. Most of the other hotel guests were okay, but some were noisy, partying to the early hours, with no staff asking them to stop. A hotel maintenance worker kept working until 11pm at night, banging around in a storage room next to our room, preventing us from sleeping. We booked a twin room on the ground floor (we're disabled), then we were told we would be put in the family room on the ground floor at no extra cost (which we were excited about), but upon arrival, we were put back in a twin room - upstairs! - with no explanation of the downgrade. At one of the medium-to-higher priced motels we looked at, we didn't feel as though we got value for money, and we were disappointed with the broken fixtures and disgusted at the lack of cleanliness. We WON'T be staying there again.

BUYER BEWAREBooked and paid in full for 3 rooms 6 people for March 2021, then 2 weeks later i have been told my booking is cancelled, yet i have not received my refund as quickly as they took it. Was told a wedding booked in for same dates yet restrictions have only just been lifted. Have to wonder how that works.

Decent but not amazingGood location just off the main street, with a short walk to all shops and restaurants and cafes and pubs and bus stops in town. I didn't hear any noise from Peden's pub next door, although there were a group of men outside at Friday 10pm drinking beers and making a bit of noise. I don't know what reception's hours were as they didn't post this anywhere, so I couldn't alert anyone. The room itself was a bit dated, the TV didn't work at first so I had to ask reception to fix it. However the shower was nice and hot and strong, really good. The bed was comfortable too, and the kettle worked fine so I could make coffee. Didn't get to use the pool as it was too cold, it was small but would've fit a small group of people standing up. For $120 or so a night, it's probably about right but nothing special. I might give either the Cessnock Hotel or Peden's Hotel a go next time as they're cheaper.
