Worst Condo EverWe spent a week in Crystal Sands 311B - do not choose this unit. We have been fighting all vacation with the rental company due to dirty disgusting filth. Cockroaches in the bunk room. The rental company tried to help us by giving us air mattresses which took up the entire living room, just so our children had somewhere to sleep. Dirt/mildew build up on the toilets, showers, tile floors. The tile floor grout was supposed to be a light tan color and its black from filth. Dark spots on the carpet. The couches were stained and sticky. And the condo smelled like stinky feet. The most frustrating part was the 2 phone calls I made prior to our trip making sure the company was doing extra due to covid - I was assured they were and that the cleaning company has been doing extra during this time. All lies. The entire condo looks as though the owner does not care and is just letting it fall apart.. The only good thing is the location is beautiful. The ocean front view from the balcony.

Politics, YUCKOur unit contained partisan political literature, which was the first thing we saw upon arrival. There were political flags hanging from balconies and staked in front of other units. One guest staked a large political flag , which contained foul language, on the private beach facing the building, in front of children and other guests. Property management did not have the political materials removed from the resort property, even after multiple complaints. We felt unwelcome and honestly somewhat unsafe during the entire stay. A vacation is supposed to be a break from your daily life, including politics. Luckily, there are far better resort properties nearby for the same or better price, so we'll be looking at other options next time we visit Destin. Hopefully, others will read this an avoid making the same mistake in selecting this unit and resort property.

Pick Somewhere ElseI do not recommend this property as a whole but DEFINITELY do not stay in unit 312B. The entire condo needs maintenance and overall felt dirty. All of the furniture is completely worn out and cushions stained. Paint is coming off the walls and there are pieces of sheet rock just nailed to the ceiling in places - one of which randomly fell off during our stay. The mattresses are terrible, there were bugs in the kitchen, tile grout is black, etc. I really could go on and on. It's clear the owners do not want to put any effort (or money) into maintaining a decent place to stay. Also speaking to the property itself - the private beach was okay but know that it doesn't stay private. It's between 2 public access points and people set up on the Crystal Sands beach who aren't staying there. This was very annoying as we are paying as guests to have a private beach (especially important during COVID).

Nice beachOld condos, 3 stories, but still nice. Great beach access. Very close, so short walk to beach. Great parking. Stair and elevator access. Has a pool but its on the front side of the building looking at the road, not the beach, and its very small. We never even used the pool. Building seems old, not great plumbing, not great insulation (we could hear the people upstairs walking around ALL THE TIME). Our condo was very cute though and easily accessible, 2nd floor. Great view. I like this much better than a huge condo complex. Great beach views!!! Close to multiple restaurants and shopping.

302B Needs workLets start with the good part. It is a great location on the beach. No special property amenities but you have a beach view and easy access to the beach. Not far from stores and restaurants. Now the bad part. While this place is livable, there many opportunities. We booked through Vacasa. They were good with email communication but did not text as promised when room was ready. However, we went after 4 and the key codes all worked. The welcome kit contained 2 dish towels, a sponge and dish soap and one each of dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. The room internet did not work. I called support (a separate number) and while they could not fix it the instructed how to connect to another room. They said they would inform Vacasa. The worst part is all the black mold on the air conditioner vents. Who knows what the filter looks like. Looks like there was a leak about master bath and ceiling was stained and vanity was falling apart on the left side and the toilet paper holder was broken. Hair dryer only worked on low and there was no exhaust fan. Towels were marginal and one had a large hole in the upstairs bathroom. The porch was totally dirty. I had to wipe rails, tables and chairs. Both screens to sliding doors were ripped. Other dirty highlights were baseboards, paint on outlet covers. I could go on but you get the ideas. I rated a 2 because even low price hotels are in better shape. Oh, Parking was good and there were plenty of spaces.Lets start with the good part. It is a great location on the beach. Looked liked someone tried to paint in a hurry. There were old broken tables under the stairway and pillows thrown in a closet and the vacuum was thrown on top. I gave this 2 stars as even lower priced hotels rooms are cleaner. There was adequate parking.
